1. Play ON - Underdogs of 31.5 or more
points (FRESNO ST) - after outgaining opp by 175 or more total yards in
their previous game.
(30-7 since 1992.) (81.1%, +22.3 units. Rating = 3*)
The average line posted in these games was: Opponent favored by 35.3
2. Bama has won 15 straight home openers but is only 5-10 ATS.
3. As a Home Fav of 42.5 or more points Nick Saban is 2-8 ATS.
4. Following a game vs. a Top 10 team, Tide 18-28 ATS under Saban.
My play: Fresno +44 for 2 units

I ran that angle in the database, but I only got 19 results (16-3-0, which is consistent with your 30-7). Also, the Fresno-Bama game isn't showing up, so something is obviously wrong. However, I tweaked the numbers (changed 175 to 305) and got an interesting set of four games (4-0), which included:
Troy covering against national champ Clemson last year; UL-Monroe covering against national champ Alabama in 2015; and Western Kentucky covering against national champ Alabama in 2012.

Okay -- I see what's going on. My database only goes back to 2006, and Fresno's yardage stats for last week haven't yet been input.
For the record, Fresno outgained its opponent last week by 488 yards. Wow.
Going back to 2006, that's the biggest yardage advantage by a team that would end up being a 31-point dog in the next game.
Also, going back to 1980, this is the most points any team has ever gotten in game 2 after pitching a shutout in game 1. The previous high was UCF +35.5 at Michigan last year.

The son of the Bama Offensive Coordinator/WR coach was shot and killed over the weekend. Bama might go out and annihilate if they wish to. Will they dedicate this game to the coach and the son? They might be playing with heavy hearts... we'll see
I think Bama 1q or 1h is money.

Yeah, the numbers and data say one thing, but College Football is about much more than that...
I have a reputation on here for being a Bama homer and blindly betting on them every game and never betting against them, but for me this is a no play.
If this game is getting out of hand, I have seen Saban put out second string in by the half. At that point, it is completely unknown what will happen in a game.
I would hope they would out gain the Incarnate World Cardinals
These games are usually shut outs for our defense, or their team gets a lucky TD, but that is about it. Usually...
