Bama question

Question

It seems to me that Bama tends to cover in their first and last games of the season, at least the last couple years that is.  I&#39;m thinking of their games against Michigan, VTech, LSU and Notre Dame.  Does anyone happen to have stats going back a couple more years?  I think they covered LSU Nat championship game by 12 and ND game by 14...   I wouldn&#39;t be at all surprised if they won by 30 tonight.

I AM FROM ALABAMA, ATTENDED SCHOOL AT ALABAMA, AND I WILL TELL YOU THIS....IF A COACH DOES NOT COVER THE SPREAD, HE LOSES HIS JOB, PERIOD. THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION WILL NOT TOLERATE IT. ALABAMA COVERS JUST ABOUT EVERY GAME.

&#xD;&#xA;This is not true. Saban himself is only covering about 60% of the time. If that were the case Saban would definetly not be keeping his job and get the raise he just got. Hell he just lost to he biggest rival and lost 2 out of the last 4 to them and has not only kept his job but got a raise both years.

I do think they cover this spread but would look more at taking the first half as Bama under Saban gets out to big leads early against most teams and then goes a little conservative in the second half if they have a big lead.

I appreciate the input, but didn&#39;t get the answer I was looking for.  Does anyone have data on whether or not Bama has covered their last game- over last 10 years or so?   I know they&#39;ve covered their last game over the last two years...
