I think the answer is that head coaches proverbially piss their pants late in games and cannot think straight as a result. Marcus Freeman&#x2019;s brain likely froze in fear of making a mistake after that touchdown. So what happens when a person&#x2019;s brain freezes when they have to make a decision? They make a mistake.
