Caution - Look for Cancelled Bets being Graded Losers

Hey guys,

I had a 3 Team 10 point Specialty Teaser with Boston College yesterday and one of the teams I had it tied with in the two later game was TCU/California OVER 28, which was a Loser.

I was told before the two later games started that it would be cancelled and I needed to put the other teams in different wager if I wanted action on them.

This morning they had this Teaser graded as a LOSS in my account and of course, I called and said WTF.....how could you guys grade a bet a LOSER that was impossible for me to win.

I realize that a normal 3 team teaser would just revert to a 2 team teaser and the wager would still be alive, but there is no way to turn a 3 team 10 point specialty teaser into 2 team teaser.  Also, I think sometimes these guys handle these issues to their benefit when the rules are not perfectly clear. 

I went around and around with the guy and now need to call back later and talk to a supervisor.  This is pure BS and I cannot believe they are trying to get away with this at Bookmaker.

Question:   I know I am right on this, but I am interested if anyone had any Parlays with this game that got cancelled and did those bets stand and just revert to a lower potential payout or were those bets CANCELLED.  I had a parlay too that I am interested in if they handled it correctly.

Am i missing something here? You did a 3 game tease, one of the plays being tcu over 28 which lost.

How/Why are you expecting money back?

Just to clarify had your 3 plays in the teaser gone (W,W,PUSH), or (W,CANCELLED,W), or anything like that not involving an L, you would have been refunded. The loss of tcu over 28 makes the bet a loser no matter the other results.

if you had the over in tcu/cal you lost! period. I understand your trying to take advantage of the cancelled game to cancel your teaser which wouldve lost at the end of the day. They even told you to add a 3rd game to keep that play alive and you didnt.

On another note i had an action reverse with BC with MInny and it was graded as a win and push paying double my original wager fwiw

Parlay drop to the number lower as do teasers...it sucks but its life

Lol at everybody chiming in with negativity. In reality the op is correct this should be refunded and not graded as a loss. Focus on what he said, a 10 POINT TEASE, 10 POINTS. there’s no such thing as a 2 team 10 point teaser and on that alone it’s a void bet.

bookmaker rule#17 states exotics will be recalculated excluding the leg of wager that was cancelled. I know for 100% sure a parlay just loses odds. ie a 4 teamer becomes 3 a 3 becomes a 2. On a teaser maybe they recalculate the points moved, so a 3 team special 10 point teaser becomes a 2 team 6 point teaser. Ive never had that happen to me so Im just speculating. You posted they asked you to pick another game to complete the 3 teamer and it sounds like you didnt. If I were you id be doing the same thing and arguing for wager to be cncelled so keep up the fight. Like i posted earlier i had an action reverse on BC/Minny and they graded it as a win and push. Not a win and cancelled. Goodluck on the fight

A Team 10 Point Specialty Teaser cannot be adjusted to a 2 Team Teaser.  There are no 2 Team 10 point Teasers.  Regular Teasers can be adjusted to a 2 team Teaser.  Do you think they would have paid me if the other 2 Teams won?  Hell no, because there are not 2 Team 10 point Teasers.  Not sure how much clearer I can be.

No, they told me the 1st Wager would be cancelled and to place a new Wager.  No I was not trying to take advantage of anything.

Yes.....I did get the REFUND.  I guess you would have lost your money for not asking for their error to be corrected.

They did not tell me to replace the BC.  They said the wager would be cancelled and I need to make a new wager if I wanted the other 2 teams in the later games.

Thanks for trying to help and the Good News is I did get the Refund.

That is why at the top of my post I said....CAUTION.  I would not want this to happen to anyone else.  It is tough enough to win when you are not being taken advantage of.

like i said I wouldve had done samething and fought them. Glad to hear you got refunded buddy.

I just spoke to my nephew and his book sent him an email to replace BC with another wager. His cancelled BC wager showed an open spot in hes teaser. Anyways goodluck today

Hey In2it,

I had normal parlays and teasers tied to BC game and all graded as losses that I had with my GT loser.
