CFB Picks and Why - week 2

We had a very good opening week at 13-3.   Let’s try to keep it rolling.   We are now using current data.  Let’s look at some numbers:

               Ltech     18   45    62    195

  -   2  Wky       115  74    64    71 

Wky according to donbest.com opened up as a 2 pt fav. Then it went to a + line for LTech which seems to translate to – 2 for LT at the major sportsbooks.  Whenever you have lines switching or going from – to +  you want to  be careful. That being said LT is better in Total Off. Rank, total Def. rank and sagarin rank; however, Wky is better in Sched. Rank. 

Historically when you have this scenario with this type of line  movement the away team usually does it.  I’m taking Ltech – 2.5. (the line my sportsbook has currently) .

Noosh – I had no plays tonite.    

LT kept shooting themselves in the foot – spilled milk – let’s move on.   Record stands at 13-4.

We have a big card and some good opportunities -   Let’s look at some numbers:

2.5   Mich st     51  69  19  78      

Mich st opens up as a 2.5 fav.  Currently around 4.     In this scenario, history indicates with a small opening line and a situation where the away team is better in Total off. And sagarin rank, while the home team is better in def. rank and schd. Strength – the away team usually gets the victory.   I’m taking Oregon.

Second week of CFB - definitely no where near the first - we went 11-9.   Overall 24-12. As long as we are positive - i'll try to keep posting.
