Hey everyone – I’m a lurker across the various forums here at Covers and sincerely appreciate everyone’s efforts & insight on a daily basis. With that, I have a question to the forum –
Back in June, I created 3 parlays that started with Bryson DeChambeau winning the US Open and then mixed/ matched them across other sports (NBA Champion, NHL Stanley Cup Champion, NL Champion, AL Champion and WNBA MVP). The 3 parlays consist of 9 legs, 10 legs, and 10 legs. The final 5 legs of all three parlays need Oregon, Texas, Georgia, Ohio State and Notre Dame to make the College Football Playoff.
I understand my risk lies with Notre Dame and Ohio State and I don't believe there is a hedge yet. My question to the group… Hypothetically, if Ohio State were to lose to Penn State on Saturday but win out the rest of the year, would a 2 loss Ohio State make the College Football Playoff? Obviously, they would not make the Big Ten Championship either.
Any thoughts on Notre Dame? The Northern Illinois loss may haunt me for the rest of my life! I know another loss knocks them out, but do you have confidence in them winning out? I feel like they are a machine right now but anything can happen vs. Army and USC. Could be crazy talk but I believe Lincoln Riley could be coaching for his job against Notre Dame.
