Nice first half hit last night, I feel like I have a solid one tonight as well. And really the reasoning is all math.
SMU FH (-4)...BIG PLAY!!!: SMU is the 12th highest scoring team in the first half this year, averaging about 20.4 points in the 1st half. Pittsburgh, is not that far behind, sitting at 19th averaging 19.3 points per game. But when you look at these numbers closer, SMU is putting up an average of 21.3 points in the first half of home games, though Pittsburgh is putting up a paltry 11.5 points per game in the 1st half of road games. If I take these averages, that's about a 10 point difference in the average of the first half. I think the OVER is also a safe play but I didn't want to box both of these and so I'm sticking with SMU to come out focused, as they always seem to (last year they averaged 22 points in the first half).
Let's see how the math adds up but I think we will be meeting at the window to cash these tickets. Either way, tail or fade, good luck to all...
