What are you thinking ? Your talking with your heart now when you say Alabama will win. Let's discuss this game.
Did you not see FLORIDA destroy LSU, GEORGIA, KENTUCKY, SOUTH CAROLINA, TENNESSEE. ARKANSAS and FLORIDA STATE ?And, If it had not rained in Tallahassee, they would have hung 70 up on them. I watched everyone of those games and trust me when I tell you Florida let up on all of them in the 4th quarter. So the had one bad game against Ole Miss. Every team has one bad game. However they have not been the same team since Tebow vowed not to let it happen again.
I agree that Bama has been awesome when a dog. But Flordia has a very very talented quarterback at the helm.
More later. DJ

I know you are a youngster but remember back to 2005, Florida was #4 (same as they are now) and went and played a fairly decent Bama team. A beatdown. 31 - 3 over the mighty Gators who were doing the same thing to those other teams you mentioned then as they are now.
Part of this is psychological. Everyone on Florida State's squad including Bowden knew Florida was going to stomp them. (Same thing with that pathtic so called Coach Weis and Notre Dame this weekend, they had lost before the kickoff).
Alabama players, fans, coaches, etc.. KNOW they will beat Florida and are just wondering by how much. This is a big factor that can not be overlooked.
Florida likes to score quick, and yes, they are fast. It's 14 - 0 with 2 minutes gone in the first quarter and their opponents just start looking at the ground. Their games quickly get out of hand. This will not happen to a Saban coached Alabama team. Florida will see very, very qquickly a defensive line that they have not seen before.
Do not read too much into these blowouts. Yes, it was a long time ago but in 1992 Miami was destrorying everybody they played. Bama, very similar to now was winning ugly. 11 point underdog going into the Sugar Bowl. A complete and utter ass-whipping by Alabama. Why, because their was absolutely no fear of Miami. I will never forget Stallings after being told Bama was a double digit underdog by a sprtswriter- he sai, "What, I thouht we would be the 11 point favorite".
I know I am having trouble typing this but it is not a small factor - Confidence.
But anyway GL and I will be looking for your post Sunday morning.

Bama my friend, your still thinking with your heart. Your comparing apples with oranges when yo compare the 1992 Miami Canes with Gino Torretta and Coach Erickson, and that game was a bowl game in La.....Trust me, Tebow is no Torretta.
In 2005 Alabama was at home when they beat Florida, a team that was not great. Heck, the Gators lost to S.Carolina and LSU too that same year. Alabama is not at home this time for this Championship game.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Alabama, they have been great to me over the years, BUT, I think your expecting too much from Saban in his second year. He did not choose these players. Yes, they are undefeated and have a great defense but they are weak at certain positions. Kicker and Quarterback. If you recall, in the game against LSU. Saban was even heistant about kicking a field goal due to lack of confidence in him in pressure situations. And John Parker Wilson, he;s good but there's no comparision between him and Tebow. Tebow will get you a tough first down when you need a yard or two. And if you notice, Wilson is kind of slow throwing the ball and I believe he will turn it over several times against that Gator speed.
I think Florida will win by at least 10 points.
More Later.

bamadon-- been on bama all year. will continue to do so! thinking i can get a betterline later this week, esp from my guy who will be swamped by ou guys taking florida. saw an interesting quote from mack brown this morning-- he said, tell me how i tell my guys that two teams are playing for the big 12 championship. we have beaten both of them and we are not playing. tell me how i can justify that to them.

don juan - glad you see it the way i see it. i will be COMPLETELY shocked if bama even puts up a good fight. Florida will score early and often, u will see Sarah Jessica Parker turn to what she really is.

Grumpy those cowbells have finally affected your rationale.
Don
P.S. On a different topic, as much as I admired the man and his ties to the Tide and the Bear, MSU did the right thing by running Croom off. In my opinion (yes he beat Bama back-to-back) he was absolutely the worse Coach I have ever seen, worse than Charlie Weis even. I know you are probably backing the change.

Well Don, you'll be pleased to know the local tv "talkin football" guys seem to think Alabama will be in this game. Both Mark Schlabach (I think that is how it is spelled) and Tony Barnhardt thought they had a chance straight up, particularly if Harvin is out. UF's run game was treated almost as a joke. Each day brings us a little closer to knowing, but the line is down to 9 1/2.

Don, if Tony Barnhart(born August 1953) was in diapers when you were handicapping games, I'm surprised you can still use a keyboard or ever got off the IBM Selectric's. I've said I think Fla wins by 10-13. Those thinking this will be a blowout (more than 3 touchdowns) will get a surprise. Ball control and superior line play will keep this game relatively close. The line is on target, in my opinion.

You playing Tide ML tomorrow at all Bama? The more people I see picking Florida to blow them out, the more i think that the opposite will happen. Best of luck to you sir!
