For argument sake if the 4 team playoff started this year would bama be in? What would it look like? after all the title games...
ok lets say auburn beats mizzou in the sec, osu beats michst in big ten, fsu beats duke in acc, ok st beats oklahoma..... To keep it simple,

Would it be #1 seed fsu vs #4 ok st?
Would it be #2 ohio st. vs #3 auburn?

Would ok st even have a sniff? Or would bama be in there at the 4 seed? Or would the 4 seed be for undefeated northern illinois? They said the new format is to help the small schools....

If the 4 team playoff were this year Bama would still make it as the top 4 would look something like

1. FSU
2. OSU
3. Auburn
4.Alabama

If Auburn lost in the SECCG, and FSU and OSU win their championship games:

Big 12 doesn&#x27;t have a title game anymore.  Only 10 teams in the conference.  In your original scenario, Alabama would have to be the #4 team.  Ok St&#x27;s loss to West Virginia is certainly worse than Alabama&#x27;s loss.  Northern Illinois has no business in a 4 team playoff.  Would like to see them in a BCS game this year if they can win the MAC title game.

The MAC is an inferior conference.   Boise would have probably have been in the BCS game one year if they didn&#x27;t choke away games late in the year. And the system worked, because now Boise is in a better conference.  No Ill needs to join the AAC.
