I’m so tired of seeing these coaches not play to tie the game
NIU/Miami Ohio game
NIU scored a td to make it 17-9. If they kick the PAT, it would make it 17-10, but nope they went for 2 and failed. Had they score another td they would have to try another 2 pt conversion to tie the game. This analytics stuff is retarded as f*ck. Whoever is using analytics to help them make decisions should be fired.

I think the analytics are still going off the 2 point conversion being a 50/50 shot. But success rates have dropped dramatically over the years, I know this year in the NFL its at 31%. I dont know what it is in College but its got to be well under 50%.
The other thing these coaches dont seem to factor in is how much time is left. If there were only 2 minutes left when you get the TD, it makes a little more sense, because your next possession is likely going to be the last possession. But with 12 minutes left? Too many possessions left to be playing that game, all you end up doing is zapping your momentum when you get stuffed.

They went for two because of a penalty that moved the xp try to the 1. If you really think they still should’ve kicked it, then you got a losers mentality.

wrong at 17-11 if they scored 17-17
then just kick the XP....

just say you dont understand math and statistics and then blame analytics. go for 2 down 8 in the 2nd half. also why coaches should have lots of 2 pt conversion plays on hand for this situation (and 3+ overtimes)
