It's that way on everything in 'motion' - the wearer / object is always going forward, stars / blue field first .....stripes 'flowing' behind like on a flagpole.  

The impediment to action advances action - what stands in the way becomes the way.

 this is the way i understand it, but,  on these unis its reversed.  Apparently it's in ode to the battle of bastogne in Belgium onthese specific unis. So it's purposely backward.
