In the state of Florida.... crimes and misdemeanors committed by football players at that state's universities are just ignored... It's a state law I think; granting immunity to all football players; they are taught that in high school and when they matriculate to the state's universities they actually get extra credit for stuff like this. The public record of criminal behavior by Florida, Florida State and MIami football players is undeniable; and that does not include the crimes that are swept under the carpet...

Leadership starts at the top.... The leaders, coaches, in Florida condone and encourage criminal activity by their football players... Why else would they tolerate it?  Have you ever heard ANY of those coaches make PUBLIC statements to the opposite... Besides; their actions speak louder than any lip service they might make....

Why should we expect football playersin Florida to not see the hypocracy of their coaches; fans, alums and university administrators?  They have watched them all look the other way for decades. Team for Team; FLORIDA football programs are always NUMBER ONE IN CRIMINALS AND SCUMBAGS....

They have Tim Tebow though. He does missionary work, so all is forgiven.

I paint with a broad brush; but since Florida coaches and fans don't paint at all.... players like Tebow will get some paint splashed on themselves from time to time.

BUT A leader, and that includes a TEAMMATE, IS OBLIGATED to speak up too... The silence by other players, INCLUDING TIM TEBOW..... is the same as CONDONING criminal activities by their team mates....SILENCE does not make you any better than the PERPS

Yeah I agree. This type of thing has been going on in the state of florida for quite some time. I just find it funny how these things are ignored, but every chance the media gets to ride Tebow they do.  They need handlebars so they don't fall off of this kids jock, its insane. Sure he gets his team and the crowd fired up, but if he was really a leader, his teamates would be following by example.

You know what they say "Boys will be boys".  This used to be the average for all states but less so now.  No wonder the pro players (who used to never be prosecuted) are startled when they are judged by the same laws that apply to the ordinary citizens and given some actual punishment (fines, jail time).  Maybe Florida can wise up and start actually facing reality.  I used to send emails to sports reporters of newspapers about ten years ago urging that Bobby Bowden be fired, to no avail.  They should penalize the coaches, too (don't know how they would work it) but that would put more of the criminals out of the sport's programs.

Just because Georgia got their ass kicked this weekend by a sub-par Florida team (compared to past seasons) doesn't give you any right to bash them.  You HEAR about Florida the most because they have 3 of the top teams in the country.  Criminal activity goes on EVERYWHERE throughout the college community.  You just never HEAR about it, because it does not pertain to the game of football.

By the way, what CRIMINAL ACTIVITY sparked this frustration?  Or was it because of the embarassing loss?

I have as much right to bash Florida football teams and their criminal endorsing programs as anyone..

You are a typical Florida TYPE fan... when the TRUTH is undeniable and it proves that Florida teams are continually being exposed for their approval of continued criminal activites.... YOU try to change the subject.... well guess what.... THEY ARE STILL SCUMBAGS....

AND just FYI.... Florida football schools are FAR and AWAY the WORST at encouraging their football players to continue their crimes by looking the other way...

The truth hurts... Florida football schools can not deny it.... FACTS are FACTS

I did not think that UGA would beat gators saturday, doubt very many here did either... and if we had gotten close to winning; we KNOW that the SEC officials would have Guaranteed a Florida victory... the evidence is clear on that account too... CHEATERS and CRIMINALS.... you should be proud

The funny thing is the Florida coach and fans are defending the actions, not to mention Mikhail Slive, the SEC commissioner. Comrad Slive runs that conference like some communist state. His favorites walk free while others get the punishment.

    Atl is right.

As a buckeye fan, I can only be thankful that our 'star' RB recruit Jamaal Berry (miami, fl) got arrested for pot before tressel put him on the roster. The kid didn't deserve to get a carry this year and hasn't gotten one.

Yeah there is not a chance. I think the will probably be used as a Wildcat back. Theres no way he can play QB in the NFL.

Regardless, FL St, Miami FL, and now Florida are all breeding grounds for thugs.  To say that because they are a top program we see it more only means the ADs,  coaches and veterans players should pay even more attention to their players pulling this type of $hit.
