As a Buff alumni and a California resident, I feel like I know more about these two teams then the average bear...
Colorado has been much improved and reviatlized under new head coach Macintyre (formerly at San Jose State). While the Buffs two wins have come against Colorado State (awful team) and good Central Arkansas (good FCS team), they have shown tremendous improvement on offense. Scoring 41 and 38 points respectively in the two games. Defense is better too but still has a lot of work to do, giving up 27 and 24 but has made several big plays from a scoring/field position change perspective.
Fresno State has been clicking on offense for the last couple of years under Deruyter. Carr is arguably a top 10 QB in CFB and this team put up 52 points on Rutgers and 42 on Cal Poly (35 in first half before resting most starters). Bulldog's defense has been less stout, surrendering 51 in the Rutgers game and 25 to Poly.
SYNOPSIS: Both teams are gonna score often!!! Similar teams and philosophies, but the Bulldogs have had a several year head start system and personell wise. I see Fresno finishing in the low 50's,high 40's and Colorado in the low to mid 30's. Thus the play is:
