Hey boys the streak stopped at five days with losing yesterday - time to start another streak. Bigger bowl game goes today.

The biggest challenge in handicapping a  bowl game is trying to figure out who is going to show up.  Given that this uncertainty is sometimes a random unknown, the best bet is to revert to which team is better.  In this case, the answer is pretty simple.  If you look at Maryland’s overall schedule, it’s a much tougher one -  playing in the Big 10 – than what NC State had to deal with.  However, what seems to be overlooked by the betting public is that Maryland failed to win any games against any of these good teams.   When they played Michigan, Purdue, Wisconsin, Penn State and Ohio State they lost all of these games.  So who did they beat?  Their best win was a 27-13 win against Sparty.  5 of their 7 wins were against sub .500 teams.

Turning to the Wolfpack, they actually have a much more impressive resume.  5 of their 8 wins were against teams that were better than .500 and they included victories over bowl winners like ECU, Texas Tech, Florida State and Wake Forest.  They also knocked off UNC, who have Oregon all they wanted.  So the body of work here indicates that NC State, in reality, had a much better season than the Terps did.

Little Tua is going to be missing 4 of his best receivers for this game.  NC State will have its challenges on offense as well as their QB situation is tenuous, but the Wolfpack has won all year with its defense, which is ranked 15 in the country.  If Maryland is forced to run the ball, they will be in trouble as NC State has done a terrific job all year defending the run.   This is essentially going to be a home game for NC State, being played in Charlotte.  You know what happens when you can’t run the ball on the road?  You lose.   In this former ACC rivalry, one should expect a low scoring game today, but the Wolfpack is the team that will be taking the Mayo bath.  I like NC State winning 17-10.

just be cognizant NCState won those games with a MUCH different slew of players, especially on offense.  Maryland might not have beaten OSU, Michigan, or Penn State, but with the exception of the latter, were in all of those games.  i think the wildcard and the reason I'm laying off is which Terps team will show up.  that's my two cents.

5 winning days?  Why does this guy just make up stuff. You won 3 days in a row and 1 day you won a half a unit and counted that. You absolutely got destroyed yesterday losing more in 1 day during 3 day streak. You lost 7 days in a row  before that. 

You got crushed 2 days in 7 day streak. Thus guy can not tell a true story . Living in his own delusional world.  He even has to tell you about the 1 time he may have won in caps. How about the 100 times you lost in caps.  You absolutely should be honest man . You are a true storyteller. Always trying to make yourself look good.
