Unfortunately y’all aren’t making a great case for your playoff snub
Did they deserve to get in the playoffs without their starting QB? No
But at this point we have to drop this conversation. What is going on at the Orange Bowl is an embarrassment to College Football. Is it their right to opt-out? Of course. But I'm not a fan of them standing on the sideline watching their teammates, who clearly not ready for this, get blown out.
The system is broken.

Agree. Dumb comments. Better to ignore it.

I agree. Get to the point where only the playoff teams play games at this point. This bowl season has been awful. Quality has been garbage.
But that will never happen. Too much money involved.

I think in FSU had all their players they still lose by 20+ easily..If they had Travis. lose any 10+....Bowers is not even playing for Georgia..

Yeah guys I know a lot of players are out for FSU… UGA has some out as well. This game is embarrassing regardless.
But yeah these bowl games are stupid overall; I definitely agree with that

We need to stop watching and betting so that sponsors stop buying naming rights, commercials, etc.
But we'll never do that so why would we expect them (players or bowl committee) to change.

FSU didn't deserve to be in the playoffs. Norvell shows it in his face that this game from the start was going to be a blowout. As much as FSU thinks they got screwed the Dogs are the team that got screwed. They would beat Texas Michigan and Washington if they got in the playoffs they are that good. They lost one game to Alabama and they were out of the top 4. How does Texas get in before Georgia. This best 4 team theory they came up with means Georgia is one fo the best 4 teams. They are better than Texas.

@freeone
Agree 100. Could definitely see something like this happening. What’s interesting to me is that coaches aren’t getting bonuses based on the result of the bowl game anymore. Instead get one based on the bowl they get into. They don’t even have a financial incentive. The product is only gonna get worse unless they figure out a way to motivate stars to play and move the transfer window until after the postseason is over.

That would be an incentive for lower level bowls but how much are you willing to pay out to the top programs to play? Have to remember that most of them will need 6 figures to play if they are projected 1st round picks. So it still wouldn't work for a lot of team to play.

Also for all y’all calling this thread dumb, I get it, but by the same logic you are calling Vegas dumb for ONLY making the line +/-24. From your perspectives, UGA -24 should have been free money…

everyone (maybe including myself) seems to think it was obvious Georgia would destroy FSU....
so you all bet heavily on that outcome? ..... it's funny. it seems obvious but then I guess 1) UGA may not be that motivated; 2) backdoor covers? come into our minds.
