GEORGIA TECH -7 AGAINST UVA???

okay, big time UVA fan here and big fan of Covers...don't usually post much but appreciate all the insight everyone has to these games.  To be honest with you, I expected this line to be more like GT -15.  I don't understand why this line is so low???  I just don't see how GT doesn't hang at least 40 points on the Cavs this weekend.  UVA celebrated after beating IDAHO in overtime 2 weeks ago, and that was only because Idaho went for 2 and didn't convert!!!

Does anyone have any info on this game as to why this line might be so low?!  I don't want to hear about home field either...this Cavs team is just plain awful, year after year.

GTECH defense a little banged up and UVA off a bye.  Typically, GTECH vs a team with a BYE doesn't cover the spread historically.

That it.  and also GTECH not passing the ball as well.

Johnson was concerned about the week’s practices through Wednesday, calling them “kind of lethargic.” Johnson said that while the team has had six consecutive weeks with games and that players have exams, “you’ve got to be able to push through it.” He was hopeful that the team would practice better Thursday, the final practice of the week.

“We need to clean up a lot of stuff,” he said

GTech next 3 against Miami, Clemson, and Virginia Tech...I think you can see why the line is where it is right now.

dont understand why everyone has been all over GT lately, yes they're 6-0 and ranked 12th in the country, but honestly have they had any contest? I believe we still need to get a feel for this team even though it is halfway through the season. Im not betting virginia, I am would reccomend staying away from this game. GL

It's Georgia Tech, they'll find a way to blow it.

I have been a Tech fan for many years.  The biggest reason the line is where it's at is because of the extra time Virginia has had to prepare for the option.  On any given week you can't prepare for that offense in a week.  That is why GT always sucks in bowl games, cause the other team has a month to prepare for the triple option.  I'm not saying that UVA is the pick and Tech won't cover but that extra time will help

i had gatech last week up 21-3 in 1st 1/2 and they just sat on the lead and did'nt cover. no mor ga tech for me this year.

 

After watching GA Tech the last two weeks I wouldnt bet on them with your moms money!

Thanks for the insight guys.  Yeah I agree that UVA has had 2 weeks to prepare for the triple option, but somehow I just don't see UVA being able to stop them as much as I'd like to think they can!  A little worried about their offense as well...they put up 14 quick points on Idaho 2 weeks ago in the first quarter, and then didn't score again until overtime due to numerous turnovers...I also believe they gave up 6-7 sacks to Idaho as well.  Good luck to whatever you play...I'm going to take my chances with GT-7 before the line gets bet up
