They signed a sorta deal and now Vols have backed out of the deal due to protesting from fans lol. WTF is going on

Why would they take the word of a proven point spread coverer in McQuerary over an evangelical?

They're probably holding out for Gruden.Under these conditions,I don't think that even Bezos has the money to pay Jon.

Schiano is actually trying to get compensated .He has no case.G good for Tenn for backing out.I work in Tenn so the Vols are my somewhat adopted team.They got whooped by a bad Vanderbilt team Brick by Brick.What a con that was.So Mullen is done at MissSt and signed a Fla.Venables is going to Arkansas.Jimbo Fisher wants to get away from his ex wife and as good as a done deal at Texas A&M.Luke the interim coach is being promoted to head coach.So that really leaves Miss St & Tenn.What u guys think?

why in the world would Gruden leave his cushy gig to go chase teenagers around on twitter and beg them to come to Tennessee over any other SEC school... sounds like an awful job

Based on contract law in the state in which the contract was originated, he may have just cause to sue for damages. Especially if he already told the buckeyes and he loses that job and or doesn't become a head coach at another school. I don't know Tennessee law though so who knows what their contract law states.

His wife is a former Vols cheerleader.  Maybe he doesn't want to travel nationally 20+ weeks a year anymore...SEC travel is much less...

ESPN is probably nickel-and-diming him too...

Not saying he would, but Tenn has to make a splash, and that jerk wasn't it. They would have to overpay by a bunch, and taking on a winless team really doesn't sweeten the deal, either.
