Do your own research...Even the best on this site are wrong at least 40% to 45% of the time...Trust no one but your own instincts...
If you can't do that...then find another hobby...because you will not be successful...

Use this forum as a guide. You will quickly find out Your own research will TOP any capper on here.
I did find one capper who was a college football guru, but he does not post anymore that much.

The best benefit for me in this forum is being made aware of a potential play. I say that because it's impossible for me to track every matchup, not enough time in my day or most I suspect, there's just too many college football teams. I concentrate on certain conferences, teams, and have had success with them. But every now and then someone will point out a game, I remember a MAC game couple years ago that was mentioned. Got to looking at it, did MY research my due diligence, and it was a winning play. If not for the forum, would have never looked at it. Local knowledge too, someone in Madison may know something about Wiskey football that down here in Florida I was not aware of. Ultimately it's your research, your gut instinct that you must trust. You've been doing this awhile, you know the drill. Best of luck this season!

Craft your own style by compiling stats and views from many prognosticators and ranks ....wait for week 2 or 3 and start there, but in the meantime, check boxscores and then make comparisons
I suggest SP+ and the Power Index in ESPN and Jeff Sagarin blend of looking at comparatives of ranks between teams

These ^^ get updated after each week
Best of the boards for instinct and deep intel that he chews on behind the scenes with the teams and people in the know when you feel confidence oozing out of him on a play is WAHOO << by a longshot the King of correct when he loves a particular week or team or both
....BUT....
I would sift for a lot of perspectives from smaller confident players which I admire a lot and would suggest you read and track a few (keep track on a chart) of these smaller players who play only 1-5 plays per week and provide writeups for each
Some of them are unreal at finding nugget plays
When bowl season comes around, make sure you save some money for TRAIN-WAHOO combo or just follow TRAIN as he is spot on in his logic since he tends to apply it one day or game at a time with high success
BOL on your venture. Its not easy, but can be loads of fun if you stay in your limits and know that you can finish strong come BOWL season at the end (save some coin for that!)

Not one favorite covered Week 0. Nobody knows anything yet. Only what different people say about different things.
For example, I'm going UNC +2. I got it in before the line flipped. I don't care about some New Hampshire QB transfer. I've seen Max Johnson at Texas A&M and I think he's got the goods. I have faith in Mack Brown's offense. I have no faith in a MAC coach like Fleck who benefited from a weak OOC schedule and bad coaching hires from teams like Indiana, Illinois, Nebraska, etc for a couple of decent at best seasons.
That's my opinion on the game. Many others will come on here and go with Darius Taylor this and Max Bosman that. But nobody knows anything yet. It's just a crap shoot right now.

Best to do your own capping, then see if you're in line with other cappers that have been doing it for awhile. This isn't a competition, but rather a way for guys to share info, insights, stats, etc. with each other with one common goal; to beat the books! One reason I won't post official picks until closer to gametime is I like seeing how other guys are capping. Maybe they're seeing something I'm not, or maybe they'll just reinforce what I'm seeing. But I won't just blindly tail somebody and I don't want anyone to just blindly tail me. Hope this helps.
