Another annoying thing is going for 4th down.  In the past, it would be an automatic punt or fg if you you have 4th down and 2 or longer. But nope, seems like college and pro football coaches are going for 4th and 2 anywhere on the field, even on their own end.

 It’s analytics and also the rule changes to make the game “exciting” when it just really allows the refs to manipulate the game more by throwing flags because teams aren’t allowed to play defense anymore. NFL there is at least a pass interference called probably every 10 minutes in a game. Even NIU had a guy ejected on a stupid call
