YTD CFB: 25 - 14, 64% , +1060
Wanted to get this one out there before posting all my plays. Check out this huge mismatch in numbers for the GT at Florida St:
FSU Pass Offense: 1,427 yards on the year. 285 ypg.
GT Pass Defense: 1,139 yards given up. 227 ypg.
(those Pass D #'s for GT, when you take out Miami, are vs. Clemson, Jax St. , North Carolina and Mississippi St ---- Not exactly big passing teams.)
GT Run Offense: 1,261 yards on the year. 252 ypg
FSU Run Defense: 664 yards on the year. 128 ypg rushing allowed.
Those are the MOs of both teams. GT does have 767 yards passing on the year, which is average, and FSU has given up a lot of yards passing on defense (1,384) but those are against the likes of Miami and BYU. If you've seen GT try to pass the ball, well, they target their WR (Thomas) and throw jump balls to him, literally. This game is AT Florida St, not to mention. And I think with all the controversy going on with Bobby Bowden, FSU is going to come out fired up and ready to play. This should be a replay of Miami vs. Georgia Tech, with FSU's speedy defense flying around and shutting down the 1 dimensional running game of GT. Basically, there are just mismatches in favor of Florida State all over the place. I k now FSU was punked by S. Florida at their place, just two weeks ago and they have looked horrible at times, however, this is a prime time night game at Doak Campbell, and I don't expect FSU to come out looking horrible and getting punked by a 1 dimensional running team. Oh, and this is coming from a diehard Canes fan.
Florida St -3 (at home) over Georgia Tech
