GT should have kneeled the ball...i think it was 4th or maybe it was 3rd down...with something like 30 seconds on the clock. They decided to run and fumbled...NC State apparently picked it up and ran it in.

That's how it was described to me...details may be slightly off but the jist of the story is there.

NC State had just scored.....kicks off to GT with 30 secs left...on the FIRST play....yes, FIRST...instead of taking a knee QB run, and from behind gets the ball knocked out into the hands of NC State defender, runs it back for a TD.

As I watched, I knew it was going to happen...QB had no idea pressure was coming from behind, and I wasn't shocked at all....furious yes, but it was like it was meant to be.

Even more strange, perhaps, was the fact that NC State kicked deep, essentially conceding the game.  For some reason known only to Tech, they ran an actual play.  I had one worse about 15 years ago (Tremain Mack blocked a punt in Morgantown, scooped and scored, with maybe :15 left).  Cost me about $2,000, back when I didn&#x27;t have $5 extra dollars, and was essentially supporting my young family with sports wagers.  That was fun.

just fucken unbelievable shit.....i was shocked when i saw this lol....almost as if someone threatened to kill Paul Johnsons kids or something if he didnt run the play. If im the AD of GA tech im firing Johnson for potentially putting the student athletes in harms way of possibly getting any injury for his greedyness.....
