#2. Auburn 1 loss SEC Champs

#3 Alabama 11-1

#4 Baylor 11-1 Big 12 champ

I agree.  Only other teams that could warrant discussion would be Michigan State and  Stanford....but Stanford's two losses against currently unranked teams should make the discussion very quick about them... Mich. state' steam is not bad but the four listed above are all deserving.

Why they dont do a 8 teams or 16 playoff

I would put Mich St. in the #4 spot, the only game they lost was on the road to Notre Dame and they got absolutely worked by the refs the whole game.  They could easily be undefeated.

agree. 4 points away from being undefeated and the win tonight was a "statement" win (although I think they would lose to FSU, Alabama or Auburn)

Stanford easily the #4 team

Stanford beat SEVEN ranked teams this season including upsetting #2 ranked Oregon Ducks when everyone had them in the title game.

Stanford with 2 losses one being to UTAH the other to USC, case closed.  Utah has a losing record btw, (very bad loss).
