This is like 5 weeks in a row of the public absolutely MURDERING college football.

Vegas is putting bookies out of business with these lines.

The MAJOR public plays today:

ohio st = covered

Georgia = covered

Stanford = covered

Oregon over = covered

Oregon = covered

ND = covered

Florida = covered

Only 1 underdog out of the MAJOR ACTION games....and that was the only dog the public was actually on.

Vegas is putting bookies out of business

Vegas will get it back tomorrow in the NFL where a huge public fav loses straight up and burns all the teasers and parlays.

my local bud from college sez 3 yrs of profit up in smoke TY. getting killed on teasers.  chalk to the over is the formula. started selling garbage to pay players off. no one is gonna feel bad for him but many of these lines are a joke. 

wish i thought teasers were smart but i still do it the old fashioned way.

i book my friend...and yes its been really really really easy for players lately...but we know how vegas works man. seriously. eventually these friggin juice and point laying pricks wont even sniff a win for weeks on end. youll get it back boss just be patient. but ya teasers right now are ridiculous. and dont listen to these hack people acting like theyre sweet or god players or some garbage...if we had these friggin loser box behind players we could buy an island by new years.

Books get killed on college football every year. Thank God I don't have any clients that bet college. 

For me as a player, this is the 4th week in a row I lose a big parlay thanks to one game, one bad beat. 

Week 10, that Pitt/ND game going to OT screwed my Under for a $45,400 payout. 

Week 11: That BYU -40.5 cost me a $9K payout. For those that don't know. BYU was up 42 with Under a minute left and get a 3-and-out from Idaho. Idaho punting on 4th and 6. BYU muffs and fumbles the kickoff return. Idaho kicks a meaningless FIELD GOAL on 1ST DOWN with 6 seconds to play and lose by 39 

Last week, the Duke/GA-Tech game missed the Over by 1 point. Cost me a $9K payout. 

This week the Utah State 1st half -24 cost me a $13,500 payout. They were up 21 early in the 2nd and driving. Throws a pick and never score again in the half.

I have players that make ridiculously stupid plays. Live In-play's, like the juice is already -115 to begin with but when their team is down big they'll "double dip" them live in-play (for odds much lower than the expected win rate). They'll buy points, bet additional point spreads and even hedge parlays. 

These clowns, in spite of making such mathematically terrible plays have cleaned me out over the past year. One guy is up $37K since the NBA playoffs and he still plays $100 parlays. These kind of douchebags want something for nothing. It is only when he starts losing a few bets in a row that he goes on into "chase mode".

So even when I win off of him, I almost always need to have a capital on the side that I cannot touch in order to pay him. One would think he'd be bankrupt by now the way he's playing. But no. 

Last week he needed the Cowboys and the Bucs to win to cash in a major parlay. Both teams needing to drive the length of the field with under a minute with no timeouts. They both do it and both win in OT. 

Believe it or not, he lost back 75% of those winnings but while he lost that amount, I had to pass on part of his action to a bigger bookie because the potential parlay payouts were too much. And right now he is one game away from hitting another big parlay and put himself right where he was after last week's big win.

I don't understand this thread. Are you asking for sympathy? If you don't like it get the F out. Plus there is no such thing as squares and sharps. That's garbage posers like to say so when they lose, they feel cool. Pick winners, and shut the F up.

   Even if that's true, like any other business, what the books do has to be looked at over the long haul, not short term.  If a few bad weeks hurts your bottom line that bad, you obviously aren't practicing sound business principles and accounting for any of the huge winning weeks to offset the losses. Even taking it over more then a one year sample is the proper way to look at your business.  No one's fault but your own, if a few bad weeks set you back. There should be plenty left in reserve, or you're a very bad business man, who deserves to go out of business. I'm sure that Vegas and the offshores will be there tomorrow.

I have booked for years and I can not believe you have players that do not bet college football? But bet everything else? Gambling is an addiction and they play lottery/ poker/ horses/ and do not bet college football!!!!!

Re: Irish/S.Cal  Vegas probably did not lose considering it opened Irish - 6'- 7 and was bet down to 4.
