Just like last week, we didn't find a single poster who had Kansas +32 over Texas Tech (well ONE poster said he loved Kansas but I have hard time believing anyone loves anything about Kansas).
What happened? Up 20-3 Tech slowed down dramatically and won 30-20, failing to cover. Vegas wins as surely the public was all over Tech.
It was one of those confounding lines where there is virtually no redeeming quality to the heavy underdog and no line within reason is suitable (Kansas failed to cover as 45 pt home dogs against Baylor the week before).
This week's game is Houston @ UCF.
Any redeeming qualities about UCF? Nope. They gave up 40 to UConn. 45 to Tulane.
What is Houston going to do to them? Houston will gash you, leave you bloody and dump you curbside. And then they'll back up and run over you a few times. Houston just rolled Tulane, the same Tulane team that put up 45 on UCF, 42-7 without even trying.
UCF literally has no positive attributes. I can't praise them in any way, especially not at 0-7 and as the lowest scoring team in the FBS, a team that lost outright to FCS lackey Furman!
So this line is simply not enough. I wouldn't back UCF here with even 10 more points to 31.5!
So that is this week's 'trap' line because this line is so grossly out of whack, someone must know more than me.
Last week Vegas prevailed again this week because I'll wager they are taking 9 out of 10 bets on Houston with this one.
Let's see if they win again.

@cadman - I'm definitely teasing OSU down as 21 just leaves tons of backdoor room in almost any game against a team that at a minimum can prove it can score like RU. Leonte Carroo is still questionable and if he doesn't play, Rutgers is in huge trouble.
Also I love the fact that Barrett is named the #1 QB and I love that OSU finally had a solid win and cover against PSU last week, maybe getting them on a roll.
Also like the fact Rutgers just came off that ridiculous win @ Indy, a win they were starved for after barely falling to MSU.
Plenty of other games to tease OSU with and I think it's solid.

@mac - good luck to you and Vegas!

You posted the exact same thing last week with, might I add, no defense of either side (at a minimum you could defend why it was a reasonable Kansas line) and didn't come out looking too good.

Last week I sincerely had no opinion. Kansas is a stay away team for me. Plus, wasn't sure which Tech team shows up. The one that hung with TCU? The one that looked bad against Baylor? (yes all have) So was not going to play Tech either. I just don't believe in trap games.
This week however, I lean towards Houston. UCF hasn't covered at home this year and Houston has covered all their road games. The number is a 1.5 more than I like though
Histrionic personality disorder. It's sad

Fair enough

@wmi I see a similar result here as well. The only way UCF even remotely hangs around is if Houston takes its foot off the gas. And I don't see how Vegas can take thE UCF side (which they are most certainly doing) with a number like this because Houston hasn't demonstrated they are willing to do that this year.

@dewey - taking Tulsa. Double digit spread @ home off a bad loss for them (always attractive) vs Memphis off the biggest win in program history. Tulsa has demonstrated they can put up points on big teams and have the 7th ranked offense in the nation. Houston, a big offense just like Memphis who Tulsa lost too but was competitive with, has primed them for this game. Definitely teasing them up to 17 as well. Side is ok. Tease is great.

Dowdy Stadium is always a tough place for a visitor to play so tonight because of the magnitude of this game, and the rivalry, you can double the noise and the craziness that is going to be going on, which only increases the energy level of the Mountaineers on the field!
SNITCHES end up being bitches, or end up with stitches, and in ditches! #REALITY
