I think it was PhiilyBrown who commented in a post that a team stepping down in class vs a team stepping up in class is one of the best angles in college football . I understand that't not quite the case here but it's the angle I'm looking at this game from .
West Virginia looked like a division 2 team vs Big 12 OK St last Saturday who were looking ahead to Oklahoma . I don't think the Mountaineers should be laying a field goal to Iowa St who totally out class them on the interior lines both sides of the ball . The Cyclones are not a one hit wonder . As I explained last week we have to get past the " Iowa St your kidding they sug " thoughts we have goin on because they are statistically sound and have played a very tough schedule aquiring those stats .
West Virginia is 97th in scoring Defense allowing 31 point per game and have played a mediocre schedule .
Iowa St allows only 18 points per game in the offensively oriented Big 12.
Iowa St letdown...Each year there are a team or two I like to call teams of destiny . This year it's Georgia and Iowa St ..Cyclones have a great young coach they believe in and riding high . I don't foresee a letdown after the TCU win . I think that win is another indicator of how good they are . Iowa State does have OK St next week and this will keep them at 5 units instead of 8 .
Again , physically I can't imagine the Mountaineers holding up defensively in this spot as a favorite . I will take the points and the momentum.

This game definitely stood out to me. West Virginia got absolutely man handled by Oklahoma State last week at home. Iowa State is playing on another level right now with a lot of confidence. They're playing as underdogs until they get their due respect. I like them outright, forget the points.

jordyn31 .....West Virginia may cover but it won't be because of anything Vegas did . In addition they are not always more intelligent than we are . Your line of thinking could also have been used last week , it would have lost. . The twisted line of thought your using works better in the NBA .
Celtics33 .... Im pulling for ya
