Feels like an excellent spot to fade Mizzou off of a huge win vs #15(at the time) Kansas state.
The Tigers were down 17-24 after 3 quarters. Rallied in the 4th quarter to win on a 61 yard fg as time expired to pull the upset.
Fans rushed the field, the party is on, and Mizzou gets fined 100K.
They face Memphis on a neutral field in St. Louis. It will be their first game away from "home", albeit still in their home state. They travel 110 miles, opposed to 238 for Memphis. I'm guessing there will be more Mizzou fans in the stands.
It's obvious that it's a let down game. But could it be a look ahead too? They start SEC conference play next week @ Vandy. Meanwhile Memphis has another non conference game with Boise next week before playing in the American again.
Starting QB Brady Cook is questionable. He got hit pretty hard in the 2nd quarter vs Kstate. The dude is tough, he played through it. Last year he played through a torn labrum for a majority of the season, and required off season surgery. So give him credit.
Looking at all the matchup stats between these teams, it looks like Memphis has plenty of reasons to hang with Mizzou imo. I know that the strength of schedule differs. But Memphis is buttoned up. They don't commit penalties and play great defense in the red zone.
What do you folks think?

Got a ticket on em at +6, and a little on the ML.
