The venue would be Pennsylvania and from what I can find, sports wagering is covered under Title 4 although there's not much in there.
Original bet was Florida Atlantic $500 at +115 ML ($1075 payout). Leading by 7 at the half, South Florida was offered at +280 ML. So I could end the night at half with either $75 or $900 guaranteed playing a $500 bet on South Florida.
Great in theory, but the bet was rejected instead offering a reduced amount enough to cancel the other bet out.
While I understand US books have an incredibly wide berth with their terms and agreements, I view this as a discriminatory practice causing financial harm (obviously depending on outcome).
Working in my favor the amount falls into small claims, my county doesn't play, I'd be surprised if the book would file an answer (interesting experiment).
Kindly asking to limit discussion on the play or hedging as a strategy. This is about using my handicapping skill to get value and guarantee profit being stymied by the book.

Not happening. Same reason they are allowed to decline bets or limit players. Personally I think that should be illegal to limit certain players. Books shouldn't have some guarantee right to profit. If the books are not good enough to compete and make profit they don't deserve to be in business.
