I'm lost, help me out please. I'm a Badgers fan (Leaders). I'll use Michigan for example.....so it does NOT matter what Michigan does (or the rest of the Legends) through the season??
At the end of the season, does number one from Legends play number one from Leaders? I hate this new format, I dont get it. Any idea? Thanks!!

Yes, they are the two separate divisions. You can and will still play teams from the other divisions depending on scheduling conflicts, rivalry games, and rotating non-divisional schedules.
The winner of each division plays in the Big 10 championship in Indianapolis. Similar to other conferences already in place: SEC West vs. SEC East, ACC Coastal Division vs. ACC Atlantic Divsion, Big 12 North vs. Big 12 South, and so on.

In a nutshell: the winner of each Big Ten division will meet in the inaugural Big Ten Football Championship Game, to be played December 3, 2011, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
The championship game will determine the Big Ten Champion and the conference's participant in the Rose Bowl Game or Bowl Championship Series National Championship Game.
So.... when Michigan meets Wisconsin in the final and Michigan loses......Whisky will go to the Championship game in Louisianna and Michigan will represent the Big Ten in the Rose Bowl because they are the runner up.

I am wondering how they came up with the names. Isnt there something better than leaders and legends? This was all done for money. The way the badgers are looking, we could go to the bcs championship but hate to talk like this too early.

Hang on guys, I was talking to a few buddies yesterday. I'm only trying to clear this up......the two winners of each Big 10 division will play each other....I got that.
The LOSER of that game goes to the Rose Bowl and the WINNER of that game goes to the BCS championship? That does not sound right.
