I'm with you, so we are going down together if Mich doesn't show up @ 4:00 on Saturday. Your input above is spot on; and you could also add a couple other side notes;
First. These two teams have "pretty" much everybody back from last years squad. Michigan won that game pretty easily, 36-14. Now, I get that the game was played at the Big House, but just b/c it's in West Layfette, all of sudden the same two teams are just 3 points apart? Even if you give Purdue 10 points for home field based off last years game, it's still a 26-14 game. With the 3 point line now, basically what they are saying is; Michigan's coaches don't develop their players as well as Purdue, and/or all the returning players for UM have taken a step back. And, pretty much Purdue's coaching staff is better.
Second; I have heard @ least 3 "experts" pick Purdue, including Herbie. I love that. Upsets "typically" happen when it's out of the blue, when NOBODY expects it (see TTech v OU last year). Now that this game is on the radar, it makes me even more confident.
Lastly; and most importantly, the teams playing. Michigan has always & will always seek the Big Ten Championship. Hoke has planted that in these kids minds since the day he arrived. Losing the two games they have does nothing to damper those spirits. Their entire goal still sits in front of them & it starts Saturday.. And as for Denard, it's almost better that he had such a shitty game @ ND b/c we got a gift of a line. That kid will come to play, and although I close my eyes when he throws, say a prayer and cross my fingers, I think he will be much more careful with the ball. I think he finally realizes he can't just toss the ball up in the air "hoping" his guy comes down with it, and he now understands what happens when you don't do what you are coached to do (either take the sake or throw it away). I also think Borges is going to make the offense much more simplistic for him. I think Borges is done trying to make this kid a "drop back" read progression QB. I think he gives him more simple route combinations to read, and if it's not there... RUN! As you said, these coaches have had two weeks to prepare, which is worth noting when you are talking about two of the best cordianators in college football.
Even if I lose my bet, I'm confident that is the correct side. Now they just have to play the game.
I put $5 sticks down on this game. Hope it goes as I see it!
Good Luck!!

I agree 100%- it's time to put up or shut up-there's no reason not to win by at least 10.
Wow, what a shocker, kammer is on Michigan. The biggest homer in the history of homey homersons is on his home team. Oh yeah, and congrats on finally finding the "caps lock" button after typing in all caps for 3-and-a-half years

Do any of you Purdue backers have any insight as to why they will cover this spread? All I keep reading is "take purdue.. purdue will cover... purdue wins straight up.. etc.. etc.." I have yet to hear one poster tell me why...
Thoughts?
