It really isn't often that you can a team that allows 12.5 ppg, gives up 285 yrds per game and only 4 yrds per play as Home Underdog of more than a TD! Also consider that this is a SEC team. Telling of how BAD the offense has been! This team is Missouri as they host Mississippi St. tonight.
Mississippi St does have the perhaps the best QB in the SEC this year (Dak Prescott). He is very mobile and leads the 22nd ranked passing offense. The total offense is ranked 39th. They have 2 losses on the year, coming from LSU their first game of the season and Texas A&M. They were underdogs in both of those games. Tonight will be their first away favorite line of the season.
Missouri has not allowed more than 21 to anyone this year. In fact, their scoring defense is ranked 3rd and total defense 6th! Passing yards allowed defense is 6th. I really expect them to hold the line again tonight.
Enter Maty Mauk. The previously suspended QB who will be playing tonight. Once was a player with a bright future, now apparently going to be an also ran. Anyway, he should be better than the last three tries for this team. The offense scored 3 pts vs Fla, then 6 pts vs Ga and last week 3 pts vs Vandy! Say Miss St get 17pts and we are getting 8pts from Vegas, it is not too much to ask that we get 10 points from the offense to cover the spread.
