Much better coach and much more talent. Garcia is much better than Ponder and lattimore is a super talent. So carolina defense is much better , though you wouldn't have known it last week vs auburn
#3 FRESNO ST +3 VS NO ILL
Coack Kill "killed" his team when he quit on them right before the MACC championship game to head to Minny. several players are already looking to transfer and with finals this week, things are in disarray. Giving Pat Hill 2 weeks to get ready only makes matters worse
#4 BAYLOR -1.5 OVER ILLINOIS
It's called the TEXAS BOWL for a reason. Look for Griffin and crew to run wild.ILLINI just lost to Fresno st
#5 CLEMSON -4 over SO FLORIDA
can South Florida score? Their offense is a joke.
#6 NEBRASKA -13 OVER WASHINGTON
Not sure how Pellini gets the troops up for a team the already beat by 30+. but that's what happened. The huskies just gave up 28 to wash st for god's sake. they are super soft and Locker is way overrated. Nebraska should be healthy and run all day through the weak wash "d-Line"
#7 LSU -1 OVER TEX A&M
Not a big Les Miles fan,, but at least he has the balls to take a chance. Like the more experienced Bowl team in a pick em game. Also like the Lsu sched vs the A&M schedule in what was a weak big 12 yr.
FINA;LLY #1:
AUBURN -3 OVER OREGON
Huge Chip Kelly fan,he is one of the most innovative offensive minds in the college game. I really feel cam newton and the Auburn line are just too big for the Oregon defense. if Oregon can convert enough first downs and keep auburn offense off the field this will be a close game . In not , I am afraid the Auburn speed at wide receiver will destroy the Oregon secondary.Don't see alot of pressure on Newton( who is bigger than the Oregon linebackers).Mcadams and crew can post some scary big numbers,Unless the ducks can control the clock, I really can't see Auburn putting up less than 40.Especially after seeing what the Arizona and Ore st qbs did the last 2 weeks
THAT'S MY TOP 7, WHAT'S YOURS?

Jake Locker isn't overrated he just doesn't have good players around him. I give the props for staying in school and playing injured to help the program.

Go AGAINST Iowa, their leading, history and season wise also, thought ONLY of himself and won't play a/c drug arrest. Iowa lost three in a row to end the season and won't have any momentun for this game. Play Mizz and the Under, Stanzi is over rated. I am an alumni of Iowa, and follow them closely. The players just don't care this season.
Also like Fresno, and Baylor for the reasons you listed
I will gladly take Utah +17 in a bowl game, they are just not that bad. Is Boise really motivated about this game? Their president is still bitching about the BCS (he is right) so I don't believe this helps focus. Utah will be ready, and waiting.
I hate ND, but they at least have a coach, and from history, a good one. Miami is in disarray, and honestly are not that good. Their QB is an interception machine. ND has been playing well down the stretch. And I am GETTING points? Gladly.
Miami, OH. What am I missing here? Better conference, better record. Only -1.5.
Michigan/Mich State. OVER 59.5. Denard will be healthy for this one, and he is scary good. Mich can't stop anyone either, should be a fun one.
Those are mine. GL everyone. Things may change depending on injuries and other news worthy incidents, like Miami's head coaching predicament, and Iowa's very stupid WR DJK.

generally like your plays, especially the first two you listed... i'm not sure about your #1 play, but i will be mulling it over until after the New Year begins, i'm sure...

i agree with you about Garcia over Ponder... Ponder is not a very good QB, in my opinion... very overrated... Garcia isn't All-World or anything, but i'd take him over Ponder without a 2nd thought...

1. VPI/Stan over 57.5 -- VPI can't stop the run, but their O will also score plenty. Stanford 38-35.
2. TCU -2.5 -- Wisconsin is vastly overrated, and TCU has a big motivational/psychological edge. TCU 34-17.
3. Nevada/BC under 55 -- If San Jose, Fresno, and La Tech could hold Nevada to 34/35 points, and Hawaii and BYU could hold Nevada to 21 and 27 respectively, this BC defense should easily keep Nevada under 30. Nevada 24-20.
5. Clemson/USF under 41 (-120) -- Two teams that are all-D, no-O.
6. MTSU +1.5 -- Most of the year, the team suffered from morale/chemistry problems resulting from Dasher's offseason wrongdoing. The fumble return vs. WKU seemed to turn things around, and they covered the last two games. Lots of seniors on this MTSU squad, and they should be focused to end on a high note against a less-talented team.
7. GT/AFA under 56 -- These teams just haven't played high-scoring games this season, and facing another option offense should give each team's D an advantage here.

you seem to be one of the few around here who realize this... arguably the biggest edge of any team in any bowl game... this should be a carbon copy of the Utah - Bama bowl game 3 years ago... i don't think the game will be close, and your score prediction is almost exactly the same as mine...

For whatever reason, South Carolina has looked utterly disinterested and unprepared in its last two bowl game - getting drilled by Iowa and UConn in the process. Looks like maybe the Old Ball Coach is more interested in squeezing in 18 than breaking down game film for these things. I agree that USC would handle the Noles fairly easilly in a real game. I'm just not sure about this one.
