Rutgers game looked about right last night. Wish I would have layed off the late NIU play though.
CFB YTD 20-17-1 Up 4.95
Tonight: I have been waiting for this game all week. WVU is 3-1 against Cincinnati in the last 4 years. The only win for Cinci came last year in a ridiculous game. Gilyard returned the opening Kickoff for a TD and they tacked on a field goal 5 minutes later. WVU still took them to overtime and if it wasn't for a few questionable calls, WVU would have won the game. Instead Pike threw a TD from the 2 after a personal foul called on WVU.
WVU is that team that Cinci just couldn't beat. Last year they pulled off a miraculous win and went on to play (and lose) VT in a bowl game. WVU was ranked 25th in the nation last year before the Cinci game last year and if you don't think they have this game circled you are wrong.
Cinci has not played a decent offense all year long. This Defense is extremely young, they just haven't been exploited because they haven't played anyone able to get the job done on the ground. WVU will get the job done on the ground, that's what they do. I watched the Oregon State and UConn games and the Cinci Defense was getting manhandled with the run game. Noel Devine is going to have a big game tonight.
On top of everything they are playing mind games with the QB's. Anyone who has played before will understand that you do not:
A. Pike- Want to be coming off the bench when you were a heismann candidate 4 weeks ago.
B. Collaros- Want to give the starting job back after playing so well the last few weeks.
What does this translate to? Forcing the ball. When you start trying to make plays just to stay on the field, bad things happen. (ALA Cleveland Browns) Passes that shouldn't be made start being made simply because a three-and-out might mean you don't see another series in the half.
In addition, Vegas has had this line cemented since it came out. The sharp action is keeping the line in check at 9.5 although there is a 33-67 split.
I am playing this game two ways tonight:
WVU +9.5 5 units
WVU Moneyline 3 units.
