Steadily picking up momentum on the season. Been hitting at a high rate in a big-stakes office pool as well. Trying to make this season as profitable as possible. Looking around the board, it appears most of us are having a successful 2013 so far. Keep it up fellas. Here is what I have so far on week 5...usually don't get into the weeknight games, but have strong leans on all 3...
VA Tech / GA Tech Over 42 Tulsa -2.5 San Jose State +10
* Enough back and forth, quick scoring drives keeps VT/GT over the number. GT should cover the 7 as well. I see a 31-20 type game.
* Tulsa looks to hit a stride and finally puts some consistent play in motion versus a very bad and disorganized ISU squad. It is Tulsa's game to lose at home.
* Keeton vs. Fales on Friday night. A lot of hype between these schools on this game. Two great QBs. SJSU's defense shows up big, slows Keeton and the Aggies enough to keep it within the number. Fales should have several opportunities throughout this game to keep pace and even pull out the win.

*** Somebody out there needs to prove the Ducks can be slowed down. Otherwise, there's no need to think twice about laying 5+ TD's. This team is a machine on both sides of the ball and loves running their opponents out of town. Cal is in over their heads this weekend.

* Wisconsin and OSU have played some tight games as of late, but I think the Big Ten gets an eye opener this weekend. Ohio State is stronger on both sides of the ball by a wide margin, and it will show at home in Columbus. Wisconsin's offense will fold under pressure, and their stout ground game won't be enough to get them out of an early hole. I see a fairly easy double-digit win in favor of the Buckeyes here. OSU will push them around on both fronts. Thankfully, if you're an OSU backer, you're getting a great line despite current perceptions. I think Ohio State is going to make a statement to the rest of the conference on Saturday night.
* Georgia's offense will prove too much over 60 minutes on their home field. Cameron appears to have LSU's O playing with a whole new demeanor, but this looks like the signature game where Mettenberger comes out flat, and doesn't catch enough wind in his sails to keep up with Murray's arsenal. UGA will sneak away in the second half.

not sure if the VT offence can hold up there end of the deal on this over......just not very good
I understand your concern on that, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a defensive and/or special teams score by either team in this game. It's a factor in my breakdown on this one. I honestly think the Yellow Jackets have a better chance of covering at this point, but I locked in my total play when I favored it more. I won't play both in the same game since I'm not fond of trying to write history and predict every side of a game, so I'll stick with my gut on the over. But like I said, a Georgia Tech cover is just as likely in my opinion. Pick your poison. Good luck!
