NCAAF Marketwatch 9-10-11

Last season started out something like 14-2 and hoping to duplicate it this year.

After week 1 we've seen some heavy money come on short winners who haven't warranted such heavy favorites.  Point in case is last night's game, granted AZ st was up 14 late in 4th but this is Missouri. 

Today's Action:

Boston College Eagles @ Central Florida Knights

The Knights enter today's contest with a highly anticipated matchup with the Eagles.  They love scheduling BCS teams but haven't had the success even having a great season last year. Godfrey looks legit and another year under his belt should be in all conversations about CUSA champion.  O'Leary will have this place with over 40k fans.  The Knights blew out Charleston Chew last week and bettors see this as the year they win another big game and the market has shown the response.  The Eagles on the other hand don't have their leading rusher, an offense, and lost to a Northwestern who did not finish strong, but bettors must realize that when Persa has been behind the helm, the Wildcats have Persa they are much more successful. 

The Eagles and Knights possess good defenses this year and both against the run will be above average to say the least.  The Eagles were #1 against rush last year and expect another good season.

Market:  The market has moved this line to 6.5 to 7.5 and the total from 43.5 to 44.5 hitting 45 in some spots.  I disagree with both these market moves and have bought stock in both plays.  Gekko recommends Boston College +7.5 and the UNDER 44.5

UConn Huskies @ Vanderbilt Commodores

UConn comes into today's game after an easy win against Fordham while Vanderbilt dominated Elon.  Vanderbilt is coming off a 2-10 season, while UCONN was 8-5 with a blowout loss to Oklahoma to end the year.  It's amazing the market doesn't seem to give a lot of respect to the Huskies.  Granted against powerhouse teams like Oklahoma they don't deserve it but Vanderbilt away it should be a pick em and the market has sent this in the wrong direction.  I was hoping for 3 points but looks like all the market will divulge is the 2.5. 

Market:  It's a small percentage on the Commodores but I believe the right side is the Huskies catching the 2.5 points. 

Nevada Wolfpack @ Oregon Ducks

The Ducks got qwacked vs LSU and couldn't bite back.  LSU is a great defense.  Nevada will not be what LSU is.  I expect receivers to be open and make plays today.  The oddsmakers open this one high not knowing too much about the wolfpack.  At 62 the market has pushed it a point and a half on the over.  I tend to agree that the Ducks will explode with an offensive showing.  I'm hoping the Wolfpack can keep up!  I have this one capped out at 71 and see 8 points on the board.  Normally, it's not like me to play this high number but lets see what happens

Market:  Market has moved it a bit in my direction and may top out at 64 but that should be all.  I agree with the market here and the play is over 63.5
