I realize not much is expected of Florida this season, but give me the points tonight in Salt Lake City. Is the altitude concerning? Yeah, but not as concerning as Utah not having a capable quarterback. Rising is unlikely to play and top backup Brandon Rose was hurt in preseason practice so it looks like Bryson Barnes will be under center tonight for Utah. While Barnes started six games last year, I still expect the Utes to lean heavily on their ground game tonight versus Florida. The Gators might struggle offensively, but they have the big boys upfront to hold up against the run.

This number is too high. The Cornhuskers are undergoing a transition under new head coach Matt Rhule, but they have an experienced offensive line, a stout running game and a QB in Jeff Sims who can make plays with his legs. They could easily win the time of possession battle while not exposing their defense. Minnesota is also going through a transition after losing quarterback Tanner Morgan and running back Mohamed Ibrahim from last year’s team. Give me the points.

Give me the under. N.C. State’s offense should be fun to watch at times this season but keep in mind that the Wolfpack went on the road to start the season last year and escaped East Carolina with a 21-20 victory. Thus, it could take a few weeks for the Wolfpack to rev up things offensively. N.C. State will shut down a lackluster UConn passing attack and assuming the Wolfpack can hold up against the run, I don’t see the Huskies scoring much tonight at home.
