Nebraska vs BYU 2015

This is a real interesting matchup...I have seen the huskers roll up foes by 20pts or more in past week 1&#x27;s...Now here comes the mormons, vs christians...My friend and I tried to sim this games online. He took the cornhuskers, i took the cougs...Please keep in mind that we are trying to kick each others butts... I&#x27;m going with neb -5. Nebraska returning 7 starter on offense in a very good offense.Also, 8 starter coming back on a defense that should be alot better.Nebraska was 68% ATS last year.I think BYU offense will be very good depending on how Taysom Hill play. I think they will have  a soft defense. And don&#x27;T forget, home advantage to Nebraska.

Nebraska has a new drop-back qb coach with a dual threat scrambling qb and BYU has lost their top rb as he took the year off. Hard to feel comfortable about this one. Neb's Armstrong was second leading rusher last year and had a 53% completion rate. He is now expected to pass better and run less.

My lean is BYU +5 thinking Neb may have early season trouble with new systems on both O and D. Not playing this one.

Former cougar here, so I typically avoid betting on BYU games due to my unconscious biases. This game seems like a no play either way. BYU has no depth at RB. The loss of Williams is a fairly big deal. Who knows how well Taysom Hill will play in his first game back from his second season-ending injury. If the husker qb can throw a deep ball, he may find the byu secondary to be easy to shred. I would expect Mike Riley to have already found ways to shore up the run D for Nebraska, as he always had a strong defensive front 7 at OSU. On the other hand, BYU often plays their best football week 1 under the Mendenhall staff. Taysom and the fast paced offense may prove too much for what has been a soft black ahirt defense, and Riley&#x27;s system may take some time. I just think there are too many unknowns. Jocky i hate that crap when coaches do that in college football. With the amount of money these networks pay for these games they should have to declare injuries/suspensions etc like the NFL

The BYU-Nebraska game just screams teaser for me. Take Nebraska from -6.5 to -0.5 hook them up with either ODU who will be at E.Michigan or Tulsa at home with FAU

I thought this Nebraska hire is really a fascinating one .For years Mike Riley was on everybody&#x27;s Top 10 Coaches in the country list.Even Alabama tried unsuccessfully to hire Riley years ago then the Oregon Duck Brand got real strong and Riley seemed to fade.He really seemed like he just didn&#x27;t have the horses to compete.Occasionally,he would slip up and beat a Standford or someone he wasn&#x27;t suppost to.I never cared for Pelini.Thought he was a fairly decent def coordinator,but never a great head coach.Sometimes his team&#x27;s literally didn&#x27;t show up.Its seems like I&#x27;ve seen Bronco &amp; this Taysom kid play 20 times on Thurs &amp; Fri night football.This game scares me because it has too many unknowns with Riley.I love the possibility of Nebraska football being the Big Red Covering Machine.Should be a great game.

Interesting, yes there are unknowns. Thats why we simulated the game...The 2 constants that we do know.1. BYU shows up  week 1&#x27;s2. Cornhuskers will bring it week 1 at home(no matter who the coach is).It&#x27;s been a long time rumor that HC Riley can only coach Ore st. and not so good evry where else.

I hear u guys, but saying "theres better games" " im staying away from this one" really doesn't help. Scary money dont make money. This game is getting bet on, like it or not. im here to find out what side is the right side.

Lets not forget how many times we have seen a game where everybody on cover.com likes 1 side, and the opposite happens.

No play is a sure thing, we all know this.

Being on the rite side of the number is good enuff for me. Simple.

So far it seems like Taking the points is the way to go, good enuff for me.
