Nevada at Iowa - UNDER 40

this seems like such an easy UNDER....... i will note that my "these lines look completely wrong" picks of last week went 1-4.

Nevada won't score.......... doubt Iowa will score.

one thing i do want to check out is Nevada's defense.... i know that even with all the players leaving that the Wolfpack did hold onto some ALL-MWC defense talent. Dom Peterson comes to mind

Iowa is likely to change their QB for this one as there were rumblings about it before this past Saturday and Ferentz stuck to Petras the rock who wasn't very good for 3 quarters and let the Cyclones into the game and come back to win

Backup QB has decent arm but likes to run a lot, going by what someone else said

I profited on the UNDER large last week and gonna back off of this one. I would think the spread moving up is indicative of a change at QB 

Sorry, Nevada run defense seems a bit better, but make make no mistake, UNR is a f""""""""" disaster

id expect a much better effort from Iowa offense in this one, either schematically or a simple Qb change that can give the defense a different look, I’d say 27-10 ish or maybe 30-7 ish

14 points in two games is misery, surely he changes QB, if so & I hear it for certain I’ll bet Iowa but their current Qb literally poses no passing threat, he can’t hit hands, like ever, he’s so bad 

I agree, even with the quarterback change, its under until proven otherwise. I don't hate the Nevada offense, but i'd be really surprised if they scored more than 10 here against the toughest defense they're going to face. I am patiently waiting to take Nevada spread, I really think asking Iowa to score more than 24 is just too much. Happily take the buy back here. 

I capped this at 38. Iowa games have been low, but Iowa should be able to put on some points on Nevada. And when your offense moves faster, that means your defense has to move faster as well... books like like they are probably about right on this one, unfortunately. 

i'd love to learn from NCAA coach as to what can be fixed quickly/easily vs. opposite?

are there alot of examples of teams with poor passing game, change QB and had good passing game really fast.

i have sometimes laughed at the negative reactions to week 1 results in NCAAF........ NCAAF teams can change alot over a season, whereas NFL is much less variable. but there are limits. and alot of lesser NCAA teams have depth issues i.e. some 2nd/3rd stringers aren't ready at all. i recall maybe 10 years ago that one team basically had no defensive tackles healthy that could play at a decent level. 

players finally coming back for iowa offence they been without top 2 wr and rb just came back alst game. nevad just gave up 55 points to incarnate - they will let up imo at least 28 points min. and nevada has some decent play making ability to get 2 td and a potential fg - i think this is wher ewe finally see iowa click - espeically if they change qb
