New celebration penalty in College Football

Question

What a straight up terrible rule! When I first read about the rule I did not like it and after watching the Washington BYU game today I HATE it.

Locker did not do anything wrong to warrant that penalty and it cost Washington a chance at winning that game in overtime.

I think this same circumstance is going to play out time and time again this season and possibly even in a close bowl game. Nobody wants to see the refs play a roll in deciding a game. This rule needs to be changed, I wish they would do something about it mid season but Im pretty sure they will get rid of it in the next off season.

I agree. Locker did nothing extraordinary after his TD.  It&#x27;s bullshit like this that takes all the fun out of the game for the kids.................&amp; it cost me a shot at a nice ML hit.

NCAAs new rule to help refs change the outcome for games. Dont you know by now Vegas has these guys numbers. Hopefully this rule is only enforced the first few weeks. Anytime after and you will have to question the motives of when they pick and choose to the the flags. There was a game earlier when the QB ran for a 1st down and he spun the ball and got flagged.

Saw that one BigGame that was Nate Davis last night in the Ball State game. No matter how you look at it, its just a bad rule. Let them have fun, I understand Excessive celebration but this rule is crazy.....ZERO tolerance
