New Mexico at Hawaii

Why is New Mex only giving 3? It seems like such a no brainer..can someone talk me out of taking New Mex? appreciate any feedback.

 No problem brother, Hawaii at home is a beast. They will no doubt be ready after a slate of playing much stiffer competition. New Mexico is a run first team as well, no doubt hawaii will load the box and try and stop them, passing in Aloha stadium for New mexico is not going to be fun this time of year the tradewinds are kinda strong, and unless you've played there it wont be easy. Hawaii will also pound the rick to keep New mexico off the field, I think this week hawaii squeaks one out in the warrior homeland

I live here and we haven't had wind for a whole week and a half already. Very hot and muggy. NO WIND!!!

Hawaii plays well at home and visiting teams turn into tourist. And New Mexico has the same type of talent Hawaii has. Other then the fact that Hawaii has a lot of injured players.  I would be playing Hawaii big time.

purplecookie, this hawaii team is not the hawaii team they used to be!! trust me on this crazed! New Mexico is the call. Hawaii cannot tackle on defense at all!!!! and our lost on offense without a good qb or running back who isnt 100%! I played in aloha stadium every game of my high school career and wind doesnt really play a huge factor there!  NEW MEXICO LARGE!!

This is not your daddy's old spread offense Hawaii team. This pro style isn't working yet because they don't have the talent at the edges to stretch defenses. And compound that with injuries makes this a very tough game to cap.

Throw out the Lamar game and the Warriors are very beatable this year at home as the offense stumbles and the defense is out on the field for long extended time.

Starting 3 true freshmen LBs should be a great indication of how bad the injury bug has hit Hawaii.  New Mexico st and coach Davey should handle a half filled stadium and the tourist trap.

 Hahahaha, I was opposed to Norm Chow taking the reigns of the team, I Am very well aware this is not my dads spread offense, cause i'm not from the spread offense era, I was from the option era growing up watching Hawaii play. So technically, i'm the daddy and my son would be making those assumptions. anyway back to the grind, and Hawaii in s spot to change the season around, New mexico is not a good team at all, they are coming in for a vacation and thats what really matters here. If the warrior dont come to play, then they just should go bck to Div 2 ball.

kaapana whos the three freshman LB's?? probably played high school ball against them, and i know that UH didnt recruit to well of linebackers!  knew i should of walked on to the team. lol

Dont know any by name, just heard Steve Uehara covering the story with Bobby Curran and neither seemed very confident in Hawaii

Bo Yap is a very good player. He's probably the only guy on that defense that can kill New Mexicos chance. Mike Edwards at DB is another good defensive player. All the rest are either over rated starters, plug ins due to injury or just plain crap. If New Mexico gets into a situation where they have to throw, Edwards will give them a hard time. Don't know much about this New Mexico team but if they have even a spark of talent on that defense then they have a chance cuz this QB floats balls, the receivers aren't very fast and the RBs are slow as well. I don't think I would pick this game to play. Just my opinion. Anyone with some good capping skills I'm sure would say there are better games to play on the board then a game involving a rebuild in progress against a bottom feeder. At the other end of the spectrum is if Hawaii expects to get any wins this year, they will show up for a game like this pairing they have this week. I'm sure they can get the offense looking better than the last game but option is very hard to defend because it's talent on talent across the board and like I said earlier, this defense of Hawaii has a few bright spots but that's it. BOL to whatever side u choose but I would stay away unless u have a inside scoop or some solid info leading u to take a side invthis one.

Sure it's just one game, but NM did hang up 29 on a tough Boise defense. Just something to think about.

The OVER might just be the best play here. Typically, I've noticed that when you have two aweful teams playing, they tend to sail over the total.
