The odds makers overshot this total a little here. That high scoring octane cardinal offense is gone. Quarterback Nate Davis and most of it's offensive fire power will be replaced by mostly red shirt freshman who will make their debut tonight. The good news is on defense were the line returns in tact. On the other side of the ball you got North Texas who year after year is on the bottom of the barrel as far as recruiting and fielding a team with kids mostly walk-ons with no athleticism whatsoever. Most of the top high school kids in texas opt for the other schools. I'd say the only bright spot on North Texas is the return of senior running back Cam Montgomery. That's good news for the UNDER BACKERS, North Texas will run the ball a lot on first down today and with 2 rookie quarterbacks at the helm this game should stay UNDER the total.

Was thinking the same thing Ball St&#x27;s QB gone also 4 offensive linemen 3 of there top 4 WR&#x27;s gone. Both teams have alot of Defense back Ball St 7 defenders and N. Texas 9 D starters back.

i&#x27;ll save you guys some money and let you know that the over is the play.. north texas going to throw all game and the frosh qb/coaches son knows the system and they will put up 30 and ball state will put at least put up 30.. north texas and over are the easy plays.. im new to this site and have no cred but you will see tonight and ill be cashing both

I am not going to say that the under is not the play...but I have a hard time putting money on an under when one team has been dead in all of the CFB the past 2 years in scoring defense (North Texas).  And again, returning 8 defensive starters is not always a good thing.  And North Texas allowed at least 33 points on defense every single game last year.  They allowed 33 to Arkansas State and 35 to UL Monroe (two not very good teams).  I say Ball State will put at least 42....
