-- I told myself i would have to pound Notre Dame if the spread was anything over 28. My site is currently offering Notre Dame at +32. I love it. I know this might sound a little crazy, but I think Notre Dame has a chance to shock the world tommorow night and beat USC outright. Notre Dame is coming off a terrible loss, and most teams would pack it in after a loss like that. Not Notre Dame though. They cant afford to do that. I think all eyes will be on Charlie Weiss tommorow night, to see whether or not he lost his team or if he can motivate them to put out a hard fought performance. Look for Notre Dame to open the passing game up early, using Golden Tate and Michael Floyd. USC will get caught sleeping early on. I still think Mark "Dirty" Sanchez is overated. With all that said, Notre Dame is getting a ton of points and as long as they don't give up on Charlie and get embarressed, Dame should cover. Good luck.

jersey - i am on the same side with you --- 32.5 pts i have and that is just too many points IMO -- i high;y DOUBT they "shock the world" -- but i can see them getting a late TD or 2 to back door this.... USC will not get caught sleeping as they need the "style points" and will be looking to blow ND out. GL -- lets cash it!! depending on how my day goes will determine the size of wager i lay on this....

Pete Carroll loves to fuck with certain teams when they are inferior - this is one of them! He will hang 100 points on these guys if he can. Notre Dame has NO CHANCE. I already pounded USC at the open at -27.5. I will sit back and laugh the entire time. Texas went for style points last night and now it's USC's turn!

Guys I really think USC can cover this spread in the first half. USC cant affford a close game here. ND has quit at times during games I think they score maybe one td in this game but Im thinking 49-7 and that just because USC stops playing in the third...I really cant see the ND upset or even covering...

you really think USC can cover this spread in the first half? Really? So are they just going to give you your money for the bet at halftime and cancel the 2nd half of the game? Your giving 32 points. I don't care if USC is up by 50 at halftime (which won't happen) , anything can happen in the 2nd half.

Jersey,
Nice enthuasism but couple of things
Floyd is out with a strained knee so it will be hard to get him the ball.
ND has lost by 31 points the last 3 times in LA and two of the times the team they brought out there was much better than this one.
And it is Charlie Weis - with one s not two.

I mean, technically, anyone can beat anywho outhere, but you have got to be kidding me. You are just getting carried away by I don't know what. This is one of the biggest rivalries in sports memory, and today, you will understand the meaning of the word ruthless.

I think you are getting carried away. People need to stop giving Mark Sanchez so much credit. The guy lost to Oregon State. The same Oregon State team that got beat by Stanford. And the same Oregon State team who Penn State beat 45-14. They may try to be ruthless, but its Notre Dame. I think this school has too much pride (yes, even though they lost to Cuse) to let USC win by more then 30. I dont think it will happen.

Pete will run the score up on Weis tonight, there will be no mercy!!! Trust me bro, it's gonna be nasty. If I had to put my prediction out there, I'd say USC 70 Notre Dame 13 ..... I seriously think Pete will run the score up and run Weis out of South Bend .... Good Luck with the Irish, but Trojans wax them

Not to rain on your parade, but I am seriously considering taking whatever units I have in the account after today and unload on USC...I cannot fathom why this line is under 40?? How is ND going to score against arguably the best D in the country? Petie is no stranger to the BCS either...if given the chance, he is going to hang 55 plus on the Irish today...one could make an arguement that ND was looking past the Orangemen last week, but looking ahead to what?? Another 40 point beat down? I am sorry, but USC is going to was that ass today (and for the record, I cannot stand USC and do NOT want to see them in a BCS bowl, but that is another story)

I have to agree with this post.... Carroll wants to show the country he has the best team and to do that is to beat the best teams. While ND is no where near the top of the ranks they do have a big name in the football world. USC D will crush this ND offense, they should be bigger and faster then ND offense and should easily pitch a shut out. I can only see ND scoring on a punt return ( in which they may only get 1 or 2 chances) but i feel they have their best chance on a kick off ( since they should be able to return about 8 of them). Sanchez is not the only player on this squad. They have talent all over the field. Esp on D. If you can not get passed the D well you can not win a ball game. If the D can shut you down well they will take the wind right out of ND sail and give all the confidence in USC to have fun on the field and put up as many points as they can. Would be very surprised to see ND pass 150 total yards in this game. But hey anything can happen. USC 48 ND 3 (31-0 at half)
