It's a tough game. I think the game comes down to whether ND's coaches sell out to stop the Wisconsin run game. Against FSU they allowed their opponent to crawl back into the game by playing soft fronts and letting FSU pop off big gains on the ground, although that was in the middle of a game. You would think they would have game-planned to put some more defenders in the box and dare Graham Mertz to make throws.
I've said it before, i don't think very highly of Notre Dame as an undefeated team. They have some talent, but are not nearly as good as some of the Irish teams of the last decade. Badgers DC Jim Leonhard (yes the same Jim Leonhard that played safety for those Rex Ryan Jets defenses) considers this defense to be the best Wisconsin has ever had. So far they have proved to be very good. The Penn St. game was a defensive battle, but Penn St. offense just made enough plays, and Wisconsin's offense choked the game away. The only points they gave up in their next game was on a pick-six Graham Mertz threw. I don't think Notre Dame's offense is on the same level as Penn St.. ND just doesn't have nearly as many playmakers and their offensive line is all new underclassmen.
If this game was in Madison i would be all over the Badgers. the neutral field is kind of messing with me.
