This line is clever, OSU is clearly more powerful on both ends of teh ball, but the triple option is somethign you can NOT prepare for (look at the late GT game last year) and with the first game of the year thigns coudl be crazy with both teams. i'd look for antoher game. or play Navy and hold your breath.
Good Luck

There are a lot better OSU cappers in this forum than myself; But purely from a situational play, this game is a definite no play for me because OSU will probably be using this game to prepare for the Sept 12 matchup with USC.... I do not mean they will take Navy lightly here, and I am not saying it is a "look a head" play... I AM saying that Tressel will use this game to get his 1st and 2nd units some physical contact at game speed... something that is difficult to do scrimmaging against yourself... I also do not think that opens up an opportunity to play Midshipmen here either... OSU has more team speed than they have had, maybe ever.... defensive speed is one of the best tools against triple option IMHO.. and lets not forget... Navy does not stop many good offenses. All that being said; I prefer to piss off my money with a huge play on PSU

1. Tressel coaches well not letting his team look ahead.
2. Tressel typically does not show much before a big game.
Navy returns 11 starters this season. They will need to replace most of its top offensive playmakers. Ricky Dobbs(QB) played seven games, he has the potential to be the best passing QB in recent memory. Navy imporved their defense by 14.4 points a game last year. The best improvement in the country.
The big question that surrounds Ohio St. is Pryor's arm. Everyone knows that he can make big plays on the ground with his legs. So facing a Navy team who is use to defending the option, we most likely will get a good look at Pryors passing. The sophmore has a good arm and looked sharp in the spring game. I expect Tressel to start with the short game opening it up for some big passes. Tressel is great at taking his playmakers and improving their "weaknesses". Pryor will throw for more than 200 yards. He wants his QB to be ready for the USC game, confidence in his arm.
Ohio St. defense loses bis players every year and you question how well they will be. But they get the best prospects and have depth. Gibson and Heyward on the ends will cause many teams problems. But the depth I speak about is backed by Nathan Williams, Lawrence Wilson, and Solomon Thomas who logged seven sacks in the spring game. Navy should not score this game!
Ohio St. -22
If Pryor does connect with his WR's who will become well known by the end of the season. This game will be blow out.

Navy or under or pass. Too many questions for OSU backers (USC look ahead, 2nd unit D stopping the run => backdoor cover opportunity, tressel not one to run up the score...)

Last year the week before USC, Ohio St trailed going into the 4th quarter vs Ohio as a 33 point fav before winning 26-14

I wouldnt touch this game. If the bucks have this in the bag by half they will shut it down especially with USC on deck. Under sounds good or navy & the points
