Michigan bettors are the reason, really??
The South Point in Vegas opened Ohio State at 10.5 Over -120.
Who has Ohio State at 9.5 -230? Offshore?
This is what I am seeing in the Big10 East Joe;
1. Ohio State, ooohhhh chit! Dwayne Haskins in a Kevin Wilson offense along with Dobbins, Campbell, and Weber. Looks almost unstoppable. If Haskins plays like he did against UM and I believe he will it is my belief OSU will be undefeated when UM comes to Columbus. Weaknesses I see are Isaiah Prince in pass protection and linebackers if Tuf Borland has anymore injury problems.
Some folks think post-Barrett means a stepback, that is not what I see. For all his assets Barrett was more liability to this team. Haskins is a big step up! Fits Wilson's offense like a glove!
AND LOOK AT THAT SCHEDULE. Absolutely no big back to back games.

2a. A distant second I am penciling in the Wolverines, and Penn St, and MSU. For UM, almost entire highly rated D is back, and they were way too young last year to be that good. Don Brown is unbelievable!! The offense has to go up this year, right?? How could it be worse! Seriously, having a qb of Patterson's caliber can only improve this O. The freshmen WR's who stumbled and bumbled last year are back and have received "special attention" this past spring. RB's are both back. O-line is "supposed" to be better, new O-line coach, simpler reads, and all that talk. But I am hearing that they are improved.
2b. Penn St; Barkley and Gesicke gone has to hurt this offense. And Penn St is weak at linebacker again (like 2016). McSorley is such a gamer but I believe the assortment of weapons on offense is reduced and the defense is less than last years D.
2c. MSU; The tough kid on the block. Nothing too fancy, rock'em sock'em football with a QB who will keep you honest. Pretty much the same team as last year with another years experience.
The schedule for these three will have them beating each other up. Penn St gets Wisc. after UM. Michigan gets Wisc. before MSU and then Penn St after a bye.
It is Ohio State's schedule that creates all the distance. No blindsided let down game against a good team. Tulane and Indiana sandwich the Penn St game. Nebraska (nebraska could be improved under Frost but I don't expect a contender)and Maryland sandwich the Michigan St game. Then Michigan after Maryland.
Joe, the Buckeyes have all the stars aligned!!
I am seriously looking at Haskins (28-1) and Dobbins (12-1) as Heisman candidates. OSU to win the Big 10(no odds yet), and maybe Natty at 7-1.
