I've lived in Western Oregon for 35 years and am a bit of a weather
geek, anyways, weather computer models show at kick off: temp low 50's and dropping,
moderate rain, 15 mph wind with gusts to 25. thats a wet, windy,
chilly game in Oregon. 69% of Cals offense is through the air, granted
Oregons pass defense is terrible but perhaps this nasty weather negates
SOME of that advantage. Oregon is NOT the same high tempo offense it has been in the past. Minus the two garbage non conference games and
the three over times at ASU, Oregon is averaging 32 points a game. Cal has
played 4 road games and is averaging 31 points a game. Thats a total of
63 points, a ways off of 76, add a cold rain to the equation? seems like a
solid under play, please reply with any thoughts?

I'm playing it, but I'm a Homer too. Im thinking 34-20 Oregon. Since the return of Adams at qb a couple games ago this is a whole different team than we saw for a stretch. They aren't the old Oregon by any means but should be a bigger home favorite in my opinion. QB Adams came to Oregon a week into fall camp, I'd like to think that with every passing week coaches are going to be able to get more out of him. Oregon, on paper has so much talent and speed at the skill positions, seems like as the year progresses I'm leaning that coaching staff figures out how to utilize them better eventually. With the potential moderate rain, I think favors Oregon, their backs and wr coming out of the backfield should be able to move the ball. I think Oregon has the edge in special teams. If the rain causes problems with cals passing game, I think Oregon cruises. I also watched ucla dominate cal a couple weeks ago so that's prob still a little fresh in my mind, they looked like, well, terible, like cal looks alot. Overall, i feel like Adams is the difference maker, Ducks are maybe 7-1 or 6-2 if he doesn't get injured and then what's the spread when Cal comes to Autzen? As the season goes on, this year at least, I think Oregon will impress more. Those are my thoughts.... confidence is decent, not great though

composite- thanks for that. the strongest winds my be before kickoff but the front is slowing down also, either way, it's going to be wet, cold, and at least some wind. seems like that might keep the scoring down a little, maybe not lol
