I think the Ducks can beat Stanford. OK State may very well lost to Oklahoma and that puts the Ducks back in the running...

These odds are only going to go down... Thinking about making a play... Thoughts?

I think betting a team like Oregon to WIN the title is a fools bet. We have seen over and over that teams running an "option" style offense get stymied when their opponent has more than a week to prepare.

If you&#x27;re placing this with big enough money that you would be willing to hedge with an SEC moneyline bet in the title game it makes sense. If you&#x27;re just placing it hoping Oregon wins out, gets help, and actually wins the title game, I think it&#x27;s foolish.

Tressel and Raems - Thanks for the feedback. I think they have a good shot to get in to the National Championship Game so I think you're right that it makes sense to bet big enough to be able to hedge with an SEC ML play. We'll see how things play out!

I think Boise goes in ahead of a 1 loss any team right now. Boise will not lose another game, sorry... IF Ok st, and Stanford lose, then a 1 loss Bama or LSU COULD go in ahead of an undefeated Boise.

Ducks did beat Stanford LY in their backyard....that was great $$$ but I think they are going to have a tough time beating Stanford in their environment TY.......I think Stanford will be a -6.5 @ home vs Ducks....but more than likely, it will be Stanford -3.5 is my guess. My $$$ will be on Stanford up to -6.5........

[/Quote]Oklahoma &#x2B;1500  is a worse bet than Oregon &#x2B;2000 for 3 key reasons...1) If Oklahoma beats Ok St and Oregon beats Stanford, Oregon&#x27;s resume makes a MUCH stronger case for appearing in the title game, and i think voters will be VERY aware of that when December rolls around...2) If Oregon makes it to the NC game, they DO have a fighting chance of actually winning the game...3) If Oklahoma makes it to the NC game, it&#x27;s just Christmas in January, because they will get their asses wiped, and that is an absolute certainty... 4) Oklahoma is getting worse value than Oregon on those two lines...betting Oklahoma to win a NC (pretty much EVER) is an absolutely ignorant bet!

Guys... Keep in mind these are long shot odds.

Obviously I think LSU and OK State/Stanford make the most sense right now.

However, if the cards fall right Oregon/Oklahoma could get to the NC and once you're there...

If I place a $100 bet at +1500 I know it's a longshot and don't expect a win.

That said Ice4Blood is right. Oregon is the better play. Sticking with the original OREGON play as a long shot attempt!
