Orgeon #3 (Agree? Disagree?)

I love the PAC-12 and always been a fan of the fast paced offense. However just look at who Oregon has played...

Nicholl State, Virginia, Tennessee, Cal and Colorado and some of the worst teams in the country. It was fun to watch Oregon blow them out and cover the spreads. But then any team with a pulse could've blown these teams out.

Now look at Oregon's games against opponents with a pulse:

Washington (their strongest opponent, who didn't cover against Cal): Oregon wins by 21.

A banged up UCLA team, hung around for over 2 quarters.

Now look at FSU's wins: pretty much the same caliber except the Blowout win at Clemson and vs #7 ranked Miami (FL).

#1. Alabama (and it's not even close! An improved offense and a defense they take pride on). A big win against a relatively weak LSU defense should come rather easily and Alabama will arguae be the #1 team in the country.

#2. FSU
#3. Oregon - I don't agree that they control their own destiny unless they absolutely blowout every opponent.
#4. Ohio State
#5. Baylor - a win tonight could put them above Ohio State. All depends on the quality of the win.
#6. Missouri - only loss came in on a late choke and OT missed FG. This team is still loaded and very close to #5. Also depends on whether Baylor wins comfortably or barely.
#7/8. Stanford/Clemsom - I'd give Clemson #7 simply by the quality of wins. Clemson did get blown out but that was against FSU.. Stanford might get blown out by Oregon the same way.

The rest doesn't matter for now. Lots will change after tonight.

Oregon should be No.2 and could very well beat Alabama if they play.

I like how you are ready to move Baylor to #4 in the country when you are disrespecting Oregon for who they have played. Look at who Baylor has played....their marquee win is:: drum roll:: a 4-4 Kansas State team and they barely won and were in position to lose much of the game

At least Oregon beat a ranked team in UCLA and put them away rather easily in the 4th quarter like good teams do.

They may make Stanford look stupid. But the ACC is pretty strong this year.

Oregon's margins of victory will matter a lot. We'll have a "what have you done for me lately" factor work in Oregon's favor should they run the tables. But for now I believe FSU > Oregon.

VegasVandal: that is why Oregon is two spots ahead of Baylor. If Baylor wins by 21+ against OU and Oregon barely gets by Stanford, I think this deserves some merit in Baylor's favor.

If Baylor and OU go punch for punch and Oregon blows out Stanford then I'll be ready to move Oregon in parity with FSU. It will be hard to decide then who #2 is.

Baylor and Oregon both lose tonight......I hope

You sure about that? Both conferences in the PAC12 are rated 2nd and 3rd out of all conferences. Only the SEC West is stronger.

The big bad ACC is the jawdopping 8th best conference in the country
