What’s the spread going to be?
Was 4.5, with today’s result for OSU it’ll get adjusted up to 6ish I’d guess. Everybody knew MSU was overrated and the matchup was strength vs weakness but for whatever reason people are still in awe. More value taking the points now.

I see OSU -6.5 at DraftKings, Circa Las Vegas will open this afternoon and we'll see what Vegas offers.
Predict this line will reach -10 or more by gameday. Weather and COVID permiting. (State of Michigan nations hotspot now. Ohio not that good either)

I don't see it going higher than OSU -9.5. Lots of people are going to be overvaluing OSU after their game yesterday vs MSU. That was the perfect storm of a contest. You had close to the best pass offense going against the statistically worst pass defense. MSU was never a top ten team. They are a 6-5 team who has over performed their way into a 9-2 team. Michigan won't be nearly as easy to move the ball against. The game will be played in Ann Arbor so the crowd will be crazy for um. Harbaugh has been a massive disappointment in his 7 years of not even getting to one Big Ten Championship game. A win here and the narrative for him changes completely. Not to mention they have to beat OSU sooner or later don't they?

Not saying Michigan will win, (although I do believe they do)…. To say this Michigan team is the “same ole Michigan tesm”, is a very lazy, non observant, take.

Two blocked punts this year by Wolverines, flea-flicker for a td, lateral on kickoff for a td, not the same ole Michigan IMO. Younger coaches bringing new life.
Lost their top WR early in the season, lack a true deep threat with speed at WR, depend heavily on the run game/defense with a "game manager QB", that's same ole Michigan.
Gone is the Don Brown corners on an island defense where if your talent at wr is better than the corner you can clobber them all day.
Harbaugh busted his azz early at UM with satelite camps, getting UM in the news constantly to bolster recruiting, trying to break that Buckeye stranglehold on getting top talent. Didn't work. Gotta win, have to establish a "culture", a direction. This summer UM players announced a "new culture", I laughed, yeah right. But they are showing something different, a culture appears to be taking shape. As an example look at Texas, it appears a total lack of player culture. Good group of athletes, yet failing. Buckeyes have a teriffic culture. Rookies need to shed their black stripes, etc. A program where you earn your way up and so much more. Recruits see it and jump in. Their direction basically the same year to year. DC f's up and he is a cheerleader in the press box now, different coach takes over play calling, no screwing around. Have to admire that.
The REAL issue here is "same ole Buckeyes". Full of talent, great schemes, and they gell late in the season. No big loses at critical positions. There is a big talent gap between Ohio St and the rest of the Big10, Michigan included. When you have such a talented team that focuses on THIS GAME no way they come out flat. Can't steal one.
So after Buckeyes convincingly defeat the Wolverines again, as they should, all here will be calling Harbaugh a big choke, can't win the big game, etc. If Michigan comes even close to covering this spread it's a step in the right direction.
My 2 cents.

Like osu on ml. Harbaugh appears to choke in this game. Osu may give my Bulldawgs a run for their money. Day must b an excellent coach( just ask Dabo??).

Life long Buckeye fan, but unlike most I do cheer for Michigan when the two are not playing. I wish this game was number 1 vs number 2 every year.
This season has certainly been a breath of fresh air for Michigan. Michigan St. beat them, but anyone who watched the game saw who the better team was. Hopefully this successful season will go a long way to get Michigan some top talent to better compete even better the next few years.
Now as far as the game goes.... No doubt this will be the best defense OSU has faced all season. They especially excel in stuffing the run and and getting pressure on the QB. Hutchinson imo, is the best DE in college football. There is however one stat that I haven heard many talk about. Michigan has not yet faced an offense that ranks top-40 in the nation in scoring, and it lost 37-33 to Michigan State when it went to war with the No. 41 team. This is a big red flag. You may ask, well how many top 50 defenses has OSU faced. Valid point, 1 (Penn State).
Michigan will play this game very hard. And Michigan will at one point be up in the first half. Michigan simply does not have close to the firepower to keep up all game. OSU wins this by about 17 to 21 in the end.
Looking forward to a great game in Ann Arbor.

Sucker bet. MI over this year played only one ranked top 20 team at the time of the game. That was MSU and they lost. OSU played 4 top 20 teams and lost early in the year to Oregon. OSU WRs too good for Michigan secondary and Michigan's starting safety is out. Harbaugh too conservative in big games. Buckeye s win and cover. Case closed.

Once Michigan gets down 2 scores it's a wrap. Michigan isn't built to score quickly. Ojabo and Hutchinson need to play great and be breathing down Strouds back for them to slow down the Ohio State offense. If Michigan covers any half it's the 1H. I don't trust Harbaugh in big games.

Strouds best passing game (485 yards) was against Oregon. They scored 28 points and never led. Michigan has a better defense and can do some of the same things from the RB spot that gave the Buckeyes defense trouble assuming Corum plays. Oregon didn’t have to do much through the air and that’d be fine with UM too. Maybe they’ve fixed that? Hard to say though considering they’ve played literally nobody near the caliber of team since then. This is going to be a way better game than people think & the opening line last week at 4.5 is a better indicator than the current 8.5 that was adjusted after blowing out of the most overrated team in the top 25.

There is no value in the total of this game at all. The value on this handicap lies in the point spread. Ohio state will win a track meet game we already know they have better offensive personnel, so does Harbaugh. The only gameplan is to run the ball and control the amount of possessions that Ohio state will get on offense. Even if Michigan can do all this they will still lose, but hopefully less than one score.
Suckeyes 24 Wolverines 17

Neither can I, OSU will destroy Notre Dame.

"Choke" is a silly word in a team game. Your Dawgs may lose at some point, happens to most every team that has ever played any number of games. Every single break won't go your way, and there are other good teams, they will win games occasionally against better talent. So if Michigan loses this week, it won't be a choke, and if they win it won't be a choke for ohio. I think at home, and with a team highly motivated, Michigan should keep this close enough to cover tomorrow. Not a big bet for me but I am taking the 8 and hook, but I may also make a small money line play because this is a one score game to me. Line got exaggerated and carried away mostly because Mich St could not play pass defense against anyone, much good WRs.
