My line just dropped as I was hitting Penn state ML +162 went to +158 not significant but line also went from +5 and to 4.5 at same time . Ohio state is favored because they have to be. Penn state QB is much better IMO doesn’t make mistakes . Ohio state with lots of injuries making this a more even matchup . I just feel like this is Penn states game to win even though on the road so taking a chance a little bit but I feel they have all the makeup to win this . gL

Beat bad?? They outgained OSU by 30 yards and were up like 21-16 with 9 mins left. Late TO’s killed them. Think they have a very good shot here today

The under WAS the play Monday at 48.5. Long gone now……I’m seeing it down as low as 45. Both defenses very good but OSU in particular VERY STOUT. All the doubts are on Buckeyes offense…..their defense is right in line with a typical OSU team. Might come down to the last possession. Gun to my head I’d take the points with Penn St. but I’m going to see if anything presents itself live.
No need to outrun the bear...just the next slowest guy

K McCord in his first season as starter he bas a 11-1 TD to INT ratio and a 9.7 YPA.Franklin said of McCord. “His touchdown-to-interception ratio is really good. I’m not surprised. We recruited him. We know a lot about him. We had a ton of respect for him and still do.” The throw game impact players will be the beat that Penn St has seen. Future NFL calibers WRs and TEs.
Penn St’s defense has is #1 FBS total D, #2 run D, #1 pass eff D, #2 sacks but they’ve faced one a terrible set of offenses - WV, Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, NW, UMass. How good is the defense really??
QB Drew Allar (12-0 TD to INT) but he’s only averaged 6.9 YPA. He hasn’t really had to put the ball downfield. Ohio’s St defense has also been good playing tougher offenses (#7 total D, #22 run D, #3 pass eff D) and they’ve allowed 3,7,10,14,17 and 7 over six games. Going to be a much tougher task for Allar to travel to the shoe and play. The kid is from Medina which is 1.5 hours north of Columbus.
Penn state is getting a lot of respect. LY they were 15 point underdogs at home. Franklin is 1-8 SU against the Buckeyes. He has done much better ATS but it’s usually a double digit spread. Penn state have dropped six straight to the Buckeyes and have posted just two wins in 15 conference games at The Horseshoe. They haven’t been favored against Ohio State since 2009.
I have the Buckeyes executing a better game plan today. They counter the defensive pressure with short quick passes to their playmakers. Most reports from the Penn state backers are putting a lot of emphasis on the Ohio State injuries. But the Buckeyes have been playing without Henderson and if he gets cleared today, it’s an added bonus. I disagree with Franklin who believes this game will come down to the final possession.Buckeyes by double digits.

@DrGame This is the best analysis that I have seen for this game by far. The thing that really stood out to me and you pointed it out, is that Allar is only averaging 6.9 YPA, which means nothing is going downfield and this is against bad teams. That won’t work today, he’ll have to challenge deep and I don’t see that happening.

Revenge? Penn State has beat Ohio State 5 time since 2000, 5-17 L22....So the revenge angle is there almost every year. Give Penn St 5 points in each of those games and they are 8 - 14. So they have covered 5 points in 3 games, and won 5 outright. I'd say if you don't believe Penn State can win, then I wouldn't take the points. I know there are lot of generalizations here but it shapes a belief that Ohio State is a better program overall and gets the top players and I'd subscribe to that idea. Personally I'm going with Ohio State since vsin is reporting that 62% of the handle is on Penn State and the line is moving up. I don't win them all but I've been doing this long enough to know how it works... Media says one thing but Vegas does the opposite. Either way, Good luck and enjoy the game!
