If losing to Minnesota (another totally overrated squad that got exposed) wasn't enough, looking at Penn State's stats shows that the big spread today is totally warranted.
Last week vs Indiana they scraped by despite being outgained by almost 100 yards and having only 179 yards passing, gave up 462 yards
Gave up 462 yards to Minnesota in the loss
Outgained 417 to 283 vs Michigan yet somehow won that game
Outgained 356 to 294 vs Iowa yet managed to win that game.
Their other conference wins that were blowouts were vs Purdue, Maryland and Michigan State. If you've watched any of those teams this year youd know they are dreadful, awful teams with pathetic offenses.
Basically, none of their wins are as good as they look. They were either outgained or playing the absolute dregs of the conference. Ohio State's wins have looked good no matter how you look at it, they are smoking everyone in stats and in the scoreboard, including a good Cincinnati team that hasnt lost any other games, that was probably scheduled with a view to it being an easy game before the Bearcats ran through the American. That Cinci team would beat most of the bottom half of the big 10 IMO (and while clinch their div tonight).
Penn St is giving up almost 500 yards to 2 of the last teams they played, Ohio St no one has cracked 200 in the last 3 games.
Forget about that little stat on the espn bottom line about the recent games between these 2 being close. It ain't happening this year.

You cannot argue the fact that Penn State has problems in the secondary. They were supposed to be good next year and have won a few more than they really should have. They stop the run and give up the pass. Versus Urban they always seemed able to play Ohio St close, vs Day, we'll find out.
Do not think having Mich. on deck a concern here. Penn St not sneaking in, they are rated and folks have been waiting for these last two games. Against Maryland the Buc's poured it on and looked efficient. Against Rutgers they played their worst game of the year. Sometimes those bad play habits like seen vs Rutgers carry over, sometimes a big rebound to efficiency. Which will happen today?
I'm banking on Penn St scoring early and Ohio St storming back/or away second half. Do not think the Lions can hang with that talent for four quarters.

Can you read? They beat one decent team, Michigan, who is actually on a down year, and outgained them by a huge amount. Everyone else they beat is garbage.
Anyway, not gonna argue this one any more, I've said my piece, -19 is locked in. Here's the rest of my card:
Northwestern +14
Navy -3.5
Georgia -12.5
ULL - 14
Texas +5
Cincinnati -10.5
Oklahoma -17.5
Hawaii -2

Tooting my horn a bit here but look what happened. Ohio State outplayed Penn State and yet were up only 4 points in the 3rd quarter. Fields fumbles at the end zone, then two more fumbles, and Dobbins loses one. If you have been following the Buc's close this year you can see they have been uncharacteristically sloppy last two games. It did carry over from the Rutgers game, unfortunately for me it was 2nd half not 1st where Penn St took advantage.
